Elijah Pitts has been named to the Black College Football Hall of Fame. Pitts was a relative complete unknown when drafted by the Packers in 1961. Lots of details in the article. Maybe B K has a card he can post a pic of.

Didn’t want to dig out the box so here’s a stock photo. The ‘68 Topps was unique in that the Packers and Raiders had backgrounds unique to the rest of the teams in the leagues.

And another cool aspect was his son also played for the Packers. Ron Pitts, cornerback from 1988 to 1990. He then worked doing broadcasting first for FOX and later ABC and CBS.
