Love's first couple of throws were good, but quickly got sloppier with placement. If he could sustain those first few, he could be very good.
Fire Barry tonight, hire Leonhard tomorrow. He can be the interim DC for the rest of the year. If Indy can hire Saturday why can't we do something out of the ordinary.
@Harry Manback posted:Game over. There are some questions that even the softball local media is going to need to ask. Over 300 yards rushing allowed? Fire-able offense by the defensive staff in my opinion. If I were MLF, Iβd be making a change at DC after this game for starters.
I hear there top candidate from the 2021 off-season for the job is available.
@Fandame posted:Love energized the team. He came in under command and was ready to go, made good plays, and just needed an onside kick recovery to see what he could really do.
Rodgers just looks... old and uninterested.
Energized the offense maybe, that defense still played like total dog shit

Like the one Aaron Jones dropped? Youβd be here defending a 100 year old Rodgers if Mahomes in his prime was our backup.π€£π€£π€£

He was outstanding throwing from the pocket. He was a little off throwing on the move, but we've been spoiled by how easy Rodgers has made that look for years.
@MichiganPacker posted:We are already on pace to give up over 40 points. I agree he's been good, but it's not like he's made a difference.
He's the only DB hustling to make a tackle!
If MLF doesnβt can Barry before the next game, Iβll have lost the rest of the respect I have left for him. How long did it take for Savage to be held accountable? How long did it take to hold Amari accountable? Was Rodgers ever held accountable? Why did it take so long last year to hold Drayton accountable? Another year line this one, and MLF will be on the hot seat. If Iβm Gutey, Iβm putting MLF on notice tomorrow.
With the kneeldown, Philadelphia's 363 rush yards are the third-most the Packers have allowed in a game in franchise history.
β Packers History (@HistoricPackers) November 28, 2022
1. 406 yards (CHI, 11/6/1955)
2. 375 (CHI, 10/30/1977)
3. 363 (PHI, 11/27/2022)
4. 348 (OAK, 9/17/1978)
Historically bad run defense.

Yeah we need to quit talking like he looked like Patrick Mahomes out there
@DocBenni posted:If ever there was a clear path to starting Love, it happened tonight. Basically out of the playoffs, Rodgers thumb and now rib/oblique, Love looked pretty good.
GB now has all the excuses in the world to start Love against the Bears. Literally nobody would be upset about it (other than AR). If the FO was worried about a backlash by starting Love over AR, those days are over.
If Love had led a comeback on 10 of 10 passing with 3 TDS, Herschelβs smear campaign against him would be EPIC!πππ
@mrtundra posted:Rodgers broke his thumb in the London game vs the Giants. How can the medical staff allow him to play? Saw a report that his thumb break was an avulsion. If true, that is ugly.
Yeah why is it know we heard about his thumb being broken now?
16th worst rushing defense for a game in NFL history.

We also donβt have to make him out to be worse than he was.

Somehow I feel that Berry would like that as a badge of honor. Worst hire by Marty and thatβs saying something.

Is this regular season only? Surely there's a SF playoff game on that list somewhere.
I've had it with Joe Barry.
There is no mystery about what the the Philly offense is good at.
It is his job to design a game plan that blunts an opponents strength, yet somehow he manages to construct a plan that allows them excel and double down on their strengths.
I wonder if Matt LeFleur and Jim Leonard are both having second thoughts tonight.
@Goalline posted:We also donβt have to make him out to be worse than he was.
Absolutely not, NumberThree definitely wins wienie of the week award for his earlier comments about him
So we gave up the best QB rating in three years last week & the most running yards since 1977 tonight
@MaximusHess posted:Love needs to play the rest of the this season regardless of the injury status to Rodgers, give the diva some humble pie. Love look so much better at the helm.
I know they've tried to play both sides of the issue, but would you put it past this FO to fuck around and create the situation, unwittingly, for Love to slip through their grasp?

He wins it every week though.

Agreed. Love looked good today, but I think he still forces too many balls when pressured.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he looked a lot better than he did any other time he played. Also, he threw that laser at the ground in the EZ because he had nowhere else to go; that's smerter than trying to force it.
Also, I seem to recall everyone knocking Love for running rather than throwing. So, he's over-corrected a bit. Let's see what he can do in a whole game now, and we'll get a truer picture rather than these bits and pieces we've seen in games so far.

This was a total desperation situation so he absolutely had no choice other than to try and makes plays. I'd like to see how he performs under normal game circumstances in order to determine if he's improved with his decision making.

Rodgers had a learning curve like most qbs who end up great. Coaching is important, but field time is where a player will learn for himself aside from being coached up. There's no question that Rodgers took the bull by the horns in 2008 and worked his ass off to become better.Tonight, Love earned that opportunity to make on field mistakes he can learn from. Eerily similar to 12's early career after tonight.
@MichiganPacker posted:I'll let you call it tonight. From the looks of the defensive intensity, the offense may have to score 40 to win this and that's pretty unlikely
You are correct sir.

Pretty sure if you go back and watch the tape, somewhere in there in all that carnage and confusion he committed a felony!

Granted, but the knock on Love the last couple of years has also been consistency. A ton of QBs/coaches have studied Rodgers and his throwing on the move mechanics and many of them are executing it pretty well these days.
October 24, 2020. Graham Mertz 20 for 21.
The kid looked real good tonight but I caution fans to let this thing play out.
I'm always cautionary, but the thing I noticed first was that Love looked different as far as his bearing and how he carried himself. In the past, he looked more like a deer in headlights from the moment he left the bench. He was together and in command. Last night, he looked like he believed in himself as an NFL QB.
