I had something similar to that a few weeks ago. Middle toe on my right would curl and lock in place. It was impossible to walk normally on, and when I went to "fix" it, made my right ankle go en fuego in pain. Finally got better when I got new orthodics.

If Lucas hadn't been such a cheap skate and gotten decent health insurance, there's no telling what he could have done in this league. He brought this on himself.

Too similar? Not sure that is that big of an issue.

Here is Packer Update with their view on Borel's chances to make the squad

http://packerupdate.net/?p=20246

There are several WR-needy teams around the league, including the Cowgirls - and former GB WR coach Jimmy Robinson is there now

I'm sure there are others with a GB connection: perhaps Philbin's Dolphins or McKenzie's Raiders know enough about him to pull the trigger in preseason
A little blurb on double D:

quote:
•WR Donald Driver still has moves. He left rookie CB Casey Hayward stuck in mud on a post route for a touchdown. The day before he turned Shields around on a in-out pattern during 1-on-1s.

TT also said in his PC today that Driver is an 'unusual' athlete and that his age wasn't the only factor in keeping or not keeping Driver on the team.
Driver will make the team even though he will retire in a couple of years, meanwhile Gurley will not and move on to another team(Vikings?) cry and become an outstanding starter for years to come, especially in the redzone where he will be a td machine, then the Packers will not have an old driver or a young Gurley or Borel.a hint,Jones is more expendable than Gurley or Borel.
Gurley getting the "back up QB" syndrom we see in college football.

Jones is a proven player, Gurley was on the practice squad. While Cinderella stories are heartwarming and fun to hear, expecting them the happen is sad and disappointing.

The Vikings already have a redzone TD scoring machine:

EXCITING!!

If Gurley or Borel don't make the team it wont be because TT had a sentimental soft spot for Driver. It'll be because neither TT or MM felt they did enough to earn a roster spot one of the deepest talent pools in football.

I agree with Rodney on one thing. Neither one of these two have proven YET that they can replace James Jones. Keep James Jones.
If Ted pulls of a trade, Jones would be the most likely candidate to be moved (opening up a spot for Gurley), but I think the chances of that are slim.

I'm actually surprised they brought Driver back.
tom silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein WR James Jones is running second team on a lot of special teams. Means they're strongly considering him for starting spot. Young guys first. Expand Reply Retweet Favorite

James Jones with bad drop near goal line in 'game situation' phase of practice

I'd like to think I'll be able to keep it together if the Packers go another season where drops continue to be a problem.

According to the September issue of Packer Report magazine, Donald Driver dropped 8 of 54 passes thrown his way in 2011, one of the worst rates in the league according to ProFootballFocus.com. Driver also averaged only 3.8 yards after the catch.

"Sometimes you feel like you have to prove people wrong. ... It's sad that I have to do that year in and year out."

"In the next two or three years, we feel like we can win multiple championships. That's why you want to play this game."

Asked Driver if he felt any pressure from Gurley, Borel. Said that pressure "stopped in 1999 when I had to make the team. And that was it."

@TyDunne
Gurley and Borel could have put some pressure on Driver. They didn't. As @BobMcGinn wrote this wk, WR seems like a lock whether GB keeps 5/6
could Boykin end up pushing Borel and Gurley out of the picture?

Borel and Gurley have disappointed this fall instead of making me wonder whether Driver should be jettisoned. Borel – I just ain’t seen anything that has made him special but I’m not watching practice every day. Gurley – has he even caught a pass? although he almost blocked a punt last week. I figured we’d be sitting here splitting hairs trying to figure out which one to keep and we’re not even close to that. Who wants it?
Weston alphabet or his editor should proof him on occasion.

Despite his record-setting run with the Hokies, his professional football career has been an uphill battle from the start. His 40-meter dash time of 4.70 seconds at the NFL combine played a large role in him going undrafted.

40 meters in 4.7 would not be too bad.

DD having a good camp and not allowing either player to surpass him.

I don't follow the day to day practice reports.. Is he tearing it up at practice? He certainly hasn't done much in his limited action in the 3 games.

In 1978, my 4th grade math teacher told his class that the metric system would be widely used in the U.S. Maybe his prophecy is finally coming true, and learning how long a decameter is will now finally pay off.
