Clinton-Dix signs a 1-day contract to retire a Packer.
I loved the pick but didn't really care for the career. Thought he would be a lot better.

Abhorred physical contact.
Dix had a lot of stokes in the fire besides playing in the NFL and it showed when he was on field. So many plays, especially later in his career here, the dude flat out avoided tackling at all costs and risking any type of injury. He was in the league to make as much money as he could and get out healthy so he could pursue his other interests. And he did that.
He retired as a Packer 3 years into his career.

You're being kind!
I remember when we loved him
Weβre fickle.
Badger coach is appropriately named.
HE MUST HAVE LOVED BEING IN GREEN BAYβ¦β¦..so shut up, all the negative commentsβ¦β¦.he wanted to say he retired a Green Bay Packer. Just enjoy his love of Green Bay.
He did have that one int in Seattle several years ago. Then he fell down to avoid being tackled.
Of course he loved being in Green Bay. It was the only place he was an impact player.......well at least for a few games. I couldn't care less as to where he retired. It's not like he will ever be in the Packer Hall of Fame. He would be a shoo in if we had a Hall Of Those Who Gave Up.
HHCD had one really good year (2016- Pro Bowl and Second Team All Pro).
The Packers exercised their 5th-year option the next year, and he began his retirement soon after.
Went back and looked at the trade articles when Gutey fleeced Washington out of a fourth for him. Really appeared everyone other than the Packers and their fans felt he was a good player.
Except he was a pretty good player. Until he wasnβt.
To βretireβ used to mean the player decided he no longer wished to play rather than the league collectively having no interest in employing said player.
Sure bring back HaHa Clinton-Dix and allow him to retire as a Packer but donβt forget about Damarious Randall Quentin Rollins, Kevin King, Josh Jackson, and Josh Jones.
After all, they were also high defensive back draft picks between 2014-2018 who, just like HaHa, left indelible marks on all those terrific Packer defenses.
What NFL team would not want to celebrate the achievements of such outstanding football players?
this word was created for such situations: meh
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, whoβs retiring today as a Packer, said heβs working with his alma mater as the Alabama football teamβs director of player development. He's excited to βfocus on being a servant and doing what I love, and thatβs helping others.β

Does helping others mean not tackling them?
Kidding aside, good luck to him.
Apparently Darnell Savage was infected by the same avoidhititis that HaHA had.
I would assume the player asks the team for the honor not vice versa so good on him. Great name, good player.
I loved it when someone asked me who we drafted that year. I would look them straight in the face and give them the classic "Simpsons", "Ha Ha" ! Oh the looks I got !
