I see a lot of movement towards the NBA trying to stop guys from intentionally fouling poor free throw shooters. It really bugs me they might change the rules to protect these guys. How about the guys work on being better free throw shooters? Why would being able to consistently (even 60%) hit free throws considered a less important skill than being able to play defense, dribble, anything else? Don't guys like DeAndre Jordan have enough pride to work on this? If I was them I'd work on a Rick Barry type free throw. If you practiced that, anyone would probably hit 60%.

The problem is that people are complaining about how this makes the games boring and they have to do something to keep up the entertainment value. How about the coach taking the guy out of the game so he can't be fouled?

I don't know what their "solution" would be, but I don't see a huge difference between this and not guarding a guy at the 3 point line that can't shoot. It's called strategy.
