Thank a soldier. Thank a veteran. Thank a family who lost a loved one while serving this great country. Happy Memorial Day...and for those old enough to remember...Happy Decoration Day!
Shouldn't that be Decoration Day?
Good call ChilliJon.
Thank you to everyone & their families who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Freedom is not free.
My Grandfather fought in WWI. Years after the war, he would succumb to liver sclerosis from the effects of chemical warfare. My brother was a medic in Desert Storm. My oldest son enlisted in the Army in February. In our family, we honor this day above most. God Bless those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great country.
I have had plenty of uncles, my father, and my father in law, who have all served in the armed forces during WWII or Korea. None were lost in war - but many have died since. And some cousins who fought in Vietnam and my son and some nephews who are currently serving. But I know plenty of families who had lost loved ones in the line of duty.
To all those who have died, and those who have lost loved ones, and to all those still serving - THANK YOU!
