Purchased? the Pilgrims did not buy a pie, we made from scratch today, one cranberry, one pumkin and two sweet potato pies. tried and true recipes from family grannies. I hope I am in shape to watch the game.

Well I was on the road for the last 10 days, just got back in town and it's my designated contribution.
I am a baker, but not enough time left for that kind of baking!
I still may make my veggie pizza, it's been requested. But damn, I am whipped.

For all you readers out there this is a great book about this and about the history of North America before the Pligrims. There are many things that I learned that were not too accurate and many things that were not taught. Not your typical history tome either, very easy and fun to read.

We are evening turkey eaters, so mushroom barley soup for lunch has started. Pies are almost ready to go into the oven. Turkey goes into the oven around 1 PM EST.
