Batting next to Cano isn't such a bad thing. Weeks is going to factor into the 1b conundrum some how. Either he will platoon with someone like Morris or Weeks will be part of a trade. IMHO.
You can have all the length in the world but when your knees get battered the way Hart's have been, length doesn't matter much.
On the bright side, this opens it up for Yuni B at 1B full time!
Ike Davis does not stir my drink. Would rather see what Morris can do out there. Get him on a cycle and you may have something awesome.
... Ok, now I want Garza, Santana or Masterson now that Corey is off the books.
They need a top of the rotation starter and a defensive first baseman. JMO.
Although, Loney would probably work on both sides of the ledger.
Why would he do that indeed..... hate it. Miss him already, and it's December 11th.
With incentives, Seattle's offer was twice that of the Brewers.
Better Seattle pay that much for reconstructed knees. I hate to see him go, but for that money he had to chose the pacific northwest.
Don't blame Hart for taking the money. He's not getting any younger and Seattle's offer was pretty much double what the Brewers were offering. In some respects, I'm glad Milwaukee didn't offer him that much because it is a risky move and it's not like the Crew has had good luck in the past with these types of moves.
Don't see much of a loss for the Crew. Hart was often injured and sometimes underachieved even when healthy.
2 more Ex-Brewers we won't have to kick around. Mat Gamel signs with Braves and Omar Infante helping by signing with the Royals. Teams looking for 2B help might coming calling yet.
