Clay Matthews was on the board when they grabbed Percy.
Aaron Rodgers was on the board when they grabbed Troy Williamson

And since they draft before the Packers again in 2013, it'll be fun to see which turd they choose, leaving yet another elite player for the Packers
The Vikings passed on Rodgers twice in that draft (you know, because they had Daunte Culpepper ), first to take Troy Williamson at 7, then Erasmus James at 18.
Hard to criticize the 49ers for giving up a 6 for Boldin. Ted better beef up the D and Dom better get his head out of his arse or the Packers might give up 1000 yards to SF the next time the two teams play.

Seattle has a damn good team.

seattle had a pretty good team in 2012.
count me impressed if they continue to be a pretty good team or improve this year. but that's not what I'm expecting to happen... and it's not just the hater in me, it's the length of time that Carroll's shtick works before the implosion.

damn good deal by the 9ers - fack!

When you've got a consumate professional running things on the field, you can afford a talented turd or two.

Well he must have been listening when it comes to drafting. Some Seattle radio host was just discussing Schneider's drafts since he came to Seattle. Very impressive.

That Niner/Hag rivalry will be must-see TV next season.

For a team with limited receiver options entering their proverbial window, not bad. A 6 million dollar flyer and 6th rounder. Makes sense for them.

If you mean Wilson, it doesn't hurt but he's still a young kid. If you mean Carroll, par for the course for that POS. The guy always triggers his own avalanche before jumping out of the way.

They essentially replaced Randy Moss with Boldin. That's a huge upgrade in character and effort.

In fairness, they are paying Boldin almost 4x what they were paying Moss.

Obviously SF didn't give up much to make this deal and there's no cap risk after this year, so this move doesn't have much downside. The only possible downside for SF is it prevents them from having enough fiscal flexibility to pull off a draft day deal for Revis or something.

But I don't think there's huge upside in this move either. IMO, at this point in his career, Boldin is more of a possession WR than a burner -- and that's something SF already has with Crabtree. Harvin or Wallace would have been much more dangerous on the 49ers IMO and added another dimension. Of course, they would have cost a lot more too.
The future is now in the NFL....Seattle is going for it now, no worries about 5 yrs down the road. Every yr is a new yr and a new team.

Salary caps and injuries are the team killers in today's football.

I'm a Percy skeptic and from what I have read I think he could be a cancer. Then again it may work, he is good and perhaps Pete can keep him on the bus for a yr or two.

There is no tommorrow in the today's NFL, if you have a chance you must go for it.

Seattle and Pete suck balls. He is a cancer, no "could be".
Petey will let Harvin run the show and do as he wants. He's a "player's coach." Percy will have the run of the place, and adding him and his ego to that locker room would be a fun show to watch. All those exploding heads in one room!

I can't see Jennings going to the Queens -- no way Ponder can get him the ball like Rodgers can, and who else do they have at receiver to take some of the pressure off Jennings if he did sign there? GJ can't beat those double teams on every snap!

They had two picks before we did the year we drafted Rodgers, so they passed on him twice. And whomever we draft at #26 will once again be someone they passed on twice. Can't wait to see who it is!

"Kicks just keep getting harder to find"

they better get chemotherapy going in seattle... this turd is not gonna change his stripes. next he'll be complaining because Lynch gets too many carries, Wilson's too short, yada yada yada.

After the Vikings agreed to trade Harvin to the Seahawks, Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reported that the last straw from the Vikings’ perspective is that Harvin complained that Ponder was not good enough.

Harvin certainly can’t say Ponder wasn’t getting him the ball: Harvin had 62 catches before he suffered a season-ending injury in Week Nine, so Ponder was putting the ball in Harvin’s hands repeatedly. But Ponder did struggle at times during his second pro season, and it’s not particularly surprising that Harvin was getting frustrated.

The question in Seattle is whether Harvin will keep complaining, or whether Russell Wilson will prove to be the kind of quarterback who can keep Harvin happy. If Harvin is a happy camper who keeps his nose clean, he’s one of the best playmakers in the NFL with the ball in his hands. What Harvin will want Wilson to do is get the ball in his hands regularly.
