Sam and Joey Hauser are both leaving the Marquette Basketball program. Both will transfer to the same school and both will have to sit a year before they can play. Wisconsin is one of the schools, along with Virginia and Michigan State that they are looking at.

Any reasons given?
One ball, one Howard.
I don't believe Wisconsin is one of the schools
I heard WI, Mich St and Virginia. Don't know if the interest is two ways or just those 3 interested in landing them.

One turnover machine
If you thought Howard took a lot of shots last year, just wait until 2019-2020. He may average 25 shots a game.
That's a shot below the belt for the Marquette program, before that news came out the Golden Eagles were a pre season # 7 ranked team for 2019-2020 season.

One of the Milwaukee reporters Prdroykus (sorry dont know how to spell his name) is dropping some serious hints on twitter that it might be a happy spring for UW fans. He is also reporting the its UW, UVA, and MSU as the front runners.
Given Bennett ties to Stevens Point I have to believe Virginia is the leader in the clubhouse.
I think as long as Gard is head coach they are not a viable option.
It would be annoying and frustrating to see them end up at M$U.
Makes you really wonder WTF is going on at Marquette. Sandy Cohen and Haanif Cheatham transferred out as well and both were highly regarded players.

Tony went to SPASH for three years so that has to help.
I don't think they'll end up at MSU. I have close friends with ties to high levels of MSU and they still have to get through the Nassar problems. Izzo is not completely off the hook there yet.
If Tony wasn't at Virginia, I think they'd come to Wisconsin, whether the coach was Ryan or Gard. But if you are making the decision based on trying to maximize your NBA potential, the fact that guys like Joe Harris and Malcolm Brogdon have turned into much better NBA players than Sam Dekker (Frank's been OK when he's gotten the chance) has to play into the consideration.
Hausers going to the NBA is a fantasy so far.
I was talking out of my ass above (still taking a "believe it when I see it" approach)
ICYMI: Our story from yesterday on where Sam and Joey Hauser could end up. Sources tell the Journal Sentinel #Badgers are the logical/favored landing spot. https://t.co/p0OENZYZwm

JP usually has some good takes and perspectives but heβs way off on the Hauser players ending up in Madison. I guess anything is possible but the likelihood is very low.
The Bennettβs are legendary in the Stevens Point area with Dick and his brother Jack coaching at UWSP. As mentioned Tony also played HS ball there. You have to think thatβs going to be a big factor for the Hauser duo who have carved out their own b-ball legacy in the Point area.
I think the likelihood is much higher than you think. The kids will do what is best for them, but from a family source.. iβve heard UW is the favorite at this point.
Things could change though.. but I think they end up at UW, that 2020 team would be stacked.
Just a little side note, Samβs girlfriend is a volleyball player at UW. Not that it will make the decision... it cant hurt though.
No matter where they decide to play, the Badgers and Gard sure could use their talent next season.
I think I also saw a press release, somewhere that said Ethan Happ was not invited to the NBA combine. Anyone else see that?

Here: https://madison.com/wsj/sports...e6-7b1db96340e9.html. But there is always the G league.... https://badgerswire.usatoday.c...g-league-elite-camp/

No matter where they go they can't play next season. They are benched until 2020-21 season.

Great college player. If he could even shoot 25% from the 3 point line or 60% from the line, he probably gets an invite.
He was at Wisconsin for 5 years and never learned to shoot outside of 5 feet. Either he didn't work hard enough at it (unlikely) or he never be able to have the ability. Neither one is a good sign for a future professional career.
Throw a prayer out for Howard Moore. Family involved in car accident with wrong way driver in MI. His wife and daughter didnβt survive. His son is ok. Incredibly respected man. Lost for words here.
this is so sad........prayers to all their family and friends.
According to Robert Zizzo of Milwaukee Journal the brothers are attending different schools and neither chose Wisconsin. Sam will be going to Virginia and Joey will attend Michigan State. So much for them staying in state.
Well itβs official now.
I understand the Virginia choice but Joey going to Michigan State is a bit curious. Not sure Wisconsin really had a legit chance especially with Gard at the helm.
