And when I think about that statement from Nkrumah, I think about the country where I now live. This past year, I've been struck by the angry words and physical attacks aimed at people because of their race, their gender, their religious affiliation. I wonder if all Americans today share the ideology in the Declaration of Independence: "...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."   Ha ha, like this is EVER going to be true.........

Hey, if it shows up on the internet Declaration of Independence it must be true.

Ah yes. The idiocy of 'Murica continues to flourish.

β€œHe has obstructed the administration of justice, by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers,” read one line of the document.

β€œA Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people,” read another.

Some people β€” presumably still in the dark about NPR’s Fourth of July exercise β€” assumed those lines were references to President Trump and the current administration

Obviously, they felt a little guilty about their ruler.
