.....the mind set of some posters is game threads.

Not gonna call anybody out by name-----you can easily go back and read the game thread. Last night was a case study in bad things drawing out whiney tools like moths to flames. There were posters who I've never even seen before, posting "The sky is falling" at every turn. One guy astutely pointed out how Trestman "outcoached" MM. There is also a group of regulars here (you know who you are) that piss your pants profusely when the Pack does anything less than win 42-0.

Call me an optimist, call me a realist, but when the shyt hits the fan, I don't feel the need to declare all is lost and then proceed to blame everybody including Ted Thompson's Norwegian-born masseuse for why things have gone wrong.  I realize probably none of those tools is reading this because they only seek out X4 when their world is ending, but can anybody help me understand why I shouldn't  stick my hairy foot up their collective asses?

This is a NFL conspiracy.  Goodell has ordered Detroit to be the Super bowl champion.  Anyone interfering will pay a physical price or penalty.  MLB rigged a Boston Champion and now Detroit needs help.

This and the bridge is falling down in Green Bay.  Traffic would be too much.

Here's a fun stat:

At the point Rodgers and then Lang went down, Green Bay was playing without 1/3 OR 33% of their preferred starters. A third.

Think about that.

But from the geenyouses posting last night, Capers sucks. McGinn put the heebie-jeebie voodoo curse on Rodgers. Hayward is worthless And MM can't out coach a rookie NFL one.

Oh and despite this M*A*S*H unit? The Packers managed to lead in the 2nd half and lost by 1 score with a starting QB who took about 4 snaps with the starting offense the previous week.

1/3 of 22 is only 7.

AR, Lang, Finley, Bulaga, Cobb, Perry and CMIII

I am sure other teams have played games missing 7 starters, but the 7 the Packers were missing were a pretty important 7.

Pboi, I get that and I think MM has done a masterful job coaching this entire year, especially given the way he has changed the team's whole attitude and gone to a power game and left behind his bombs-away mindset. In fact, it may even go down as his best, SB or not. And I think he'll get even better next year.

However, I don't have the same kind words to say about Capers. All we needed was a stop or two and that whole game changes. Whether it was the personnel on the field or what defense he called, it just wasn't working. Trestman had his number, just as the 49ers did. And under Capers I would not say we have been a super-strong tackling team. MM called the D out in the opening of his press conference, saying we couldn't get a stop and we had poor tackling. I wonder what that coaches meeting was like today...

Well Blair, it's like this: Everyone is wired differently. We have:

1) Whiners,

2) Whiners, who whine about whiners; and,

3) Whiners who whine about the whiners who whine about the whiners.

I consider myself in the latter group.

Seriously, to me, there are two extreme  groups of contributors within this forum:

1) The extreme optimists who do not want to read anything negative about the Pack. To them, such an act is considered sacrilegious and the offender should be painted purple and then excommunicated from Packer Nation for such behavior or die!

And,

2) The extreme pessimists, who just have nothing but negative posts and/or provide ridiculous statements such "Fire TT, MM etc."

I find it comical and sometimes pathetic, but sometime entertaining to see these two groups of contributors go after each other.

Me, I'm somewhat emotional and can get caught up in the games, such as last night when MM did not challenge the incompletion.  I thought that decision was FU, but by no means do I dislike MM.  Heck, I think he's a damn good, but sometimes stubborn coach.  So yeah, I will continue to bitch or applaud as warranted, but never hate!

I also admit that I am a bit of a pessimist, and when I get a bit bummed out regarding the Packers' situation (such as in the case now) I find myself looking for a collection of optimistic posts to fuel me with some hope and/or enthusiasm - something to chew on.  I can't drink IPAs everyday.

Anyway, that's my take.

Fans emoting ona message board during a game and after a loss. Only a well oiled scroll button is going to combat that one. The posts decrying why/when this occurs are quite puzzeling to some folks too. Hasn't slowed anyone down yet.

If someone can't resist rising to the bait because posters are going to rant, rave and second guess paid professionals on any pro sports message; board than try pointing out the flaws in their arguments instead of resorting to childish insults. If the posters who don't like negativity can't resist than go for it. The scroll button cuts both ways.

Call me an optimist, but when people feel a need to declare all is lost, I have no need to say anything in response.

OK, I confess.  I do have a need to respond to the people who have a need to whine about the people who feel a need to declare all is lost.

Blair:  Let me understand, you got the hen, the chicken and the rooster. The rooster goes with the chicken. So, who's having sex with the hen?
Timesfour HelpLine:  Why don't we talk about it another time.
Blair:  But you see my point here? You only hear of a hen, a rooster and a chicken. Something's missing!
Timesfour HelpLine:  Something's missing all right.
Timesfour HelpLine:  They're all chickens. The rooster has sex with all of them.
Blair:  That's perverse.
