Not only Does Blake B have as many playoff wins as ARod since 2017, but Donovan McNabb, Christian Ponder, Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum, Kirk Cousins, Matt Stafford, Jay Cutler, Mike Glennon, Mitch Trubisky and every other shitty QB to start a game in the NFC North over the past decade have been to just as many Super Bowls as Rodgers over the past decade - 0.

Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Colin Kaepernick, (the skeleton of) Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Nick Foles, Jared Goff, and Jimmy Garropolo have all been to more SBs than Rodgers during the past 10 years.

This either means Rodgers is wildly overrated, despite his 3 MVPs, and constantly chokes in the playoffs ... or the Packers' front office and coaching staff failed miserably to take advantage of an elite QB.

Given that TRUE Packer fans recognize:

(1) the greatness of former Defensive Coordinators Dom Capers and Mike Pettine (and that giving up nearly 34 points a game in Rodgers' playoff defeats is something to be expected and overlooked);

(2) the genius of former Head Coach Mike McCarthy and that every other NFL team was clamoring for MM to take over as their HC and implement his sophisticated offensive sets when he was unjustly fired due to Rodgers' petulance;

(3) all the BAD LUCK that prevented stellar Special Teams Coordinators Shawn Slocum, Ron Zook, and Shawn Mennenga from producing anything but awful STs units year after year after year; and

(4) Ted Thompson's unparalleled drafting success on the defensive side of the ball after the 2010 SB season as well as his unwavering commitment to adding whatever free agents or making whatever trades needed to be made to improve the roster while Rodgers was in his prime ...

The obvious answer for TRUE Packer fans is that Rodgers has repeatedly let down the greatest front office and coaching staff(s) ever to be assembled by a single franchise.

Let the Blake Bortles era commence.

Rodgers playoff stats since the Super Bowl are really good. He has had 10 interceptions in 15 games, which is very good, but not  Rodgersesque...Thompson had a couple of bad drafts, but overall  gave Rodgers plenty of line, running and receiving support over his career and Gutenkunst firing McCarthy in mid season had to have tickled Mr. Rodgers. So although he has carried this team much of the time and  is one of the all time greats,  he is not above the game or above the Packer's responsibility to look to keeping the franchise competitive long term.

Rodgers is so ultra competitive, what is wrong with proving that you're better than the new guy = this year, next year and the year after and even the year after that....Keep playing like you're playing and  you start in a system and team that offers you the best chance to win a Superbowl.

At 37, he seems to be asking for a contact and assurance that he'll still be able to start  even if he reaches the Albert Pujols era of his career and is just hanging around. That is the part of it I don't get. It seems he just wants out of Green Bay. I do hope he comes back. Bortles is not going to replace the 3 X MVP, but if he doesn't,  let's get some draft choices for Gutekunst to screw up and it's on to Bortles and Love or Bortles with Love or Bortles and James...whatever

Would have preferred Nick Mullens (more upside IMO) but Bortles is understandable considering the connect to our OC. Iโ€™m sure twittersphere is convinced Rodgers is as good as gone. #quethepanicattcks.

You can't get a QB with more upside as it would upset Rodgers even more. They needed to get someone off the dung heap so Rodgers wouldn't see a guy with upside as yet another threat.

Rodgers in five NFCC games:  9 TD, 8 INT.

Exactly.

As all right THINKING & LOYAL Packer fans know, Rodgers has been the problem in the last 4 NFCC games.

As for those disloyal Packer fans who might have the temerity to point out that  the Packer defense has given up an almost unbelievable average of 35 points in the 4 NFCC losses since 2010 (31, 44, 37, & 28 and just 14 in the lone NFCC victory), well they just don't recognize the greatness of the Packer front office and coaching staff over the past decade.

Heck, some unknowing Packer fans have even been known to point to the 32nd ranked 2014 Special Teams unit (coached by the incomparable Shawn Slocum) imploding like no NFL team before it as the principal reason for the 2014 debacle in Seattle, but the informed portion of the fan base knows better than to ever blame a coach or the front office for the team's failure to reach the SB over the past 10 seasons.

Once Bortles takes over, it will be time to shine in GB.

This is always the thing the media always seems to miss talking about.  Everyone says they need to get Rodgers help and some in the media after the draft said that not getting more offensive weapons for AR is a slap at him for wanting out.  No its not I would argue that having something resembling a good defense in the playoffs is a Qbs best friend.

That Jacksonville playoff team that got Bortles to 2 wins was pretty damn good especially on defense.

On the other hand, in at least 2 of 5 NFCCG game losses the defense was absolute shit and we all know the debacle in Seattle with coaching and special teams.  The bottom line is they should have advanced to the SB in 2014 and 2020 but didnโ€™t and I donโ€™t think itโ€™s fair to assess blame on Rodgers.
