5 players from 8 teams tested each week of the season. Which is essentially like saying 5 players tested every month. Which is essentially like saying it's going to take 10 months to cycle through fluctuating rosters.

The stuff is rampant in the NFL. How long it stays in somebody's system is not a factor because there are substances that mask it in tests. Pretty sure everybody in the biz knows this too but whaddayagonnado? Too much $ at steak.

These guys are always going to be two steps ahead of the testers. Ban HGH? They'll all switch to things that 99% of the population have never heard of (endocrinologists and competitive bodybuilders being the exceptions). They're millionaires, they can afford it.

I don't think we oughta go assuming these guys are one step ahead of the law.
Not all of them are that dumb, and even when they are, their teammates and agents probably won't be. There are plenty of them who are at the cutting edge with these things. There's a big industry of trainers and doctors who cozy up to pro (and college) athletes to help them get an "edge". It's ridiculous to imagine that they're going to put the genie back in the bottle with PEDs. Guys were using HGH back in the late 70s and 80s, we can rest assured that there are several alternatives that the league office hasn't even begun to consider yet.

Apparently not long.
It has a half life of a couple of hours in the body, so with a large dose maybe it's still detectable after a day or two.
So then you'd want to go out of town for the weekend and shut off your phone when you take it.
I'd be curious if they are testing for HGH directly or looking for a longer lasting metabolite.

Pretty silly to do it like that, if you're going to test 8.. just do the whole team when you're in town. This is an obvious PR move, not an actual... lets clean HGH out of the game type move.

I read that he is a "gym rat". My guess is that he knows about its use for some time. It must suck to see other players jump ahead of him with strength and speed possibly because of using PED's. Some bodybuilders once confided in me about the various PED's. I have no doubt that it happens in football, and I am not talking about Adderall.
