How do I?.....

Hey All. Since we're all still getting used to our new joint (Thanks Boris again. Lookin' better each day), I figured for now we'd have a running topic/Q&A for anyone who has questions on "how do I _________ " or post any tips on something you've learned to do or post that the rest of us may not know. I will start:

1.) On the upper right hand side of the forums is a hyperlink called "dialogs". That is the old PM's. Click on that and you will see any PM's you have been sent. Unless I'm wrong, I believe all of your old PM's switched over to the new site.

2.) On the right hand side, you will see a hyperlink to an "add widgets to forum pages." That's where you can add certain things along the right hand side of the page. I found out last night if you click on that, then fill in the black dot next to "online now", add widget, then save you will see everyone who's online. Some posters I know liked seeing that.

Ok what else you got?

I can't see "Add Widgets". I believe Boris told me he could see it though. Add Widgets is only for you super level admins.

I can add reply or like this topic, follow this topic or report you to the moderators. I can also see who is online now.

Ok thanks JAFO. Wasn't aware of that. But that you can see who's online Im guessing might have been a default setting for all members. I had to turn mine on.

Thanks KB. If you click on your own, you should right under your rank also be able to see your post count as well just FYI.

I noticed the "rank" the other day. How is that computed, what does it mean. I'm going to try and keep my rank lower (closer to 1) than my golf score.

Henry is #1.

Rank is calculated by a few things. Number of posts. How many followers you have, how many posts/threads you like, etc. Basically, how active you are on the site.

I Dont believe the ignore list has a limit. Let me know if you can't add someone

That's not actually the post count, but something labeled "Activity points", whatever those are. My post count before the changeover was slightly over 12,000; my activity points are only in the 8000s.
