Sorry if this has been done to death, but I searched the Archive forum and also did a search...

As I've said, am dead set on taking my son to our first game at Lambeau this year before I get any older and grayer! If the schedule comes out this month before the draft, as I've heard, how soon until I can get single game tix?

I've been warned NOT to buy through CraigsList (forged tix), and to go through Ticketmaster or STubhub, but still, I want to lock in tix asap so I can also lock in airfare. I know you guys say you can buy tix from scalpers on game day, but I don't want to fly 1200 miles and not find affordable tix, so I really am not comfortable doing that.

I know you guys collectively have a lot of experience, so please give me some idea of how soon I can expect to be able to buy tix in a "safe" manner, as opposed to doing Craigs List, or trusting someone on the internet who may not be honest.'

Thanks!

I have purchased tickets in the past from www.eventusa.com/packers/

There is no real hurry to purchase tickets immediately when they go on sale. Ticket brokers don't seem to run out of tickets. After the schedule is announced(April 17) think it over for a couple weeks or more, after you decide what game you want to attend look around for prices you can afford.

A suggestion if you are flying. Fly into Milwaukee, or maybe even Chicago and rent a car. If you are going to spend the night before or after the game in a hotel, stay somewhere south of Green Bay like Fond Du Lac. Hotel prices will be much cheaper than game weekends in Green Bay.

Thanks, Bob. Yes, I noticed that airfare to Milwaukee was a lot cheaper than flying in to Madison or Chicago (which we've done in the past) or Green Bay.

Lodging is no problem, as we have family in the Madison area.
Season ticket holders that purchase through Ticket Master (and I'm guessing most are doing this by now) can send electronic versions of their tickets which voids the paper ticket. I didn't pay attention to when the electronic tickets became available on the site last year but I would assume it's close to the same time the paper tickets are sent out.
I have sold and purchased tickets via Ticketmaster.

It is reliable as a seller, and hassle free. My Packers.com account is linked right into the Ticketmaster inventory. The buyer just prints out a barcoded ticket. I think you pay about a 15% fee if you purchase via ticketmaster as well.

It is basically online scalping and the market drives the price, but better than me having to fed-ex tickets somewhere.

I have three Gold Package single tickets if interested. Those are the second and 5th home game each year.

also check flying into Rockford if an option. seems to be much cheaper for flying out of this area than the mega-ports.
I've never bought tickets for a game at Lambeau, 'Wulff, so I don't know if my opinion has any validity, but I have bought tickets for years for games here in Atlanta on Ebay with nary a problem. AMOF, the 'tickets' for last October's game were emailed to me from the seller; that was my first experience doing that, and was still smooth as silk.
The only caveat I mention is that (for me, anyway) it takes a lot of time shopping to get the best prices for the best seats, watching the auctions, and the like. However, I've always been rewarded with excellent seats at good-to-great prices, and am reasonably assured of not being ripped off.
Again, no personal experience, but I've read many good things for quite a few years for Packer Fan Tours. They may be a little more inclusive that what you need, but can be another safe option to purchase tickets.

Two of the three tickets are fairly decent seats and very close together. They are down low on the 10 yd line and close to the field. The third is higher up. Contact ZUF.
I stayed in Brillion for the Vikings game last year. Pretty convenient to get to and from Lambeau using the back roads but there is nothing, I mean NOTHING to do in Brillion. We went to a dump of a bar after the game and hung out with some people that were in desperate need of a life. Smiler
