That's not a bad analogy at all (including size).
I think Green is an excellent pickup for GB but I dont think he is quite a season saver.GB was stretched thin at the NT position because Pickett the backup NT is the starting DE and he got injured.I prefer that GB has three guys that can play NT on Dline.

I think that between Green and Wilson together it could be declared a season saver maybe.Losing Neal was a blow especially after losing Jolly. Harrell well is just a bad story for GB and the kid.The fact that Wilson is playing with a chip on his shoulder because he was passed over till the 7th round. Green played well against his former team as motivation. I really hope that Green can stay motivated for the rest of the year.

Correct.

Grady Jackson was another one.

Wilson stepping up has been huge.

As far as Green goes, I'd take him every day of the week over a guy like Colin "roller skates" Cole.

Having those big guys anchor against the run, and force double teams really opens things up for the LBs to make some plays.

I think we now have a chance to be in the top third of the league in rushing defense by the end of the year.
Green did a nice job, but calling him a season saver at this point is a bit much. I've really been impressed by the play of Wilson. He seems to improve every game and could develop into a very solid player and another late-round find by TT.
Always amazes me. Rodgers falls to 24 and TT has the good sense to pick him and he fell in TT's lap. Well he fell to 23 other GM's who were stupid and passed. TT chooses well in 7th round and gets a decent guy, same argument, TT lucky, guy fell to him. Well there were some 200 picks and no one else took him so I say TT made smart choice. Only wish we would have traded back into 3rd round to draft the wide out Williams who went to Tampa Bay in the 4th. That guy could really be special.
Don't know if he's a season savior, but the flip side of the coin is definitely true. If the recent acquisitions on DL do not continue to contribute, the season is lost.

So if the season ends up being saved? Yeah, I would first look to the adds on the defensive line and their making it viable to spell Raji and the other starters while producing.
Demovsky has some cool background on getting the new wide- body, Green up to speed in a few short days...tune in for Maestro Trgovac's musical chairs in G major

also an interesting rotation on DL

"...the Packers could bolster their run defense by using a jumbo front of
Green ( 6-2, 369* ), Pickett (6-2, 340) and Raji (6-2, 337)..."

* assumes Green has lost one pound since his arrival in GB
I wouldn't mind Dom mixing it up and using a little 4-3 with Jenkins either. Just some more looks to throw off Kitna.

Yes that's correct I'm not under estimating our opponent like some fans may be.

Like the Jets did last Sunday?

It's opposite year in the NFL, like George Castanza in that Seinfeld episode.

Who would have predicted the Vikings and Cowboys would be out of it by the half-way mark? Or that the Chiefs would be playing so well, or the Buccanneers?

Who predicted the Packers OFFENSE would struggle and the DEFENSE would dominate?

31-year-old castoff Howard Green comes in and plays lights out. Perfect. Kharma is just wacking people this year.

I'll say it if you won't: Packers have no chance against the Cowboys.

Wink
HoG could turn out to be a 'season saver' for the Pack, but, of course, we can't crown him after just one game.
However, I'll say this: Green wants to play. Regardless of the team, the amount of prep in his limited time before game dayand being ready to play immediately for a new team in 2 days time (!) speaks volumes. He has an opportunity to make a good team better, and he made the most of it. I'm looking for it to continue.
