Three year contract??

"On Friday, the Packers tried out nose tackle Randy Colling, tackle-guard Kevin Hughes and running back Darrell Scott. Later, they signed Hughes (6-3Â―, 303), a "street" free agent, to a three-year, $1.71 minimum-salary contract with no signing bonus.

"I had a lot of options," said Hughes. "There's a lot of tradition there. I felt welcome."

Hughes, 24, signed with the Rams in July 2011 after not being drafted out of Southeastern Louisiana, where he started one year at right tackle and two at left tackle. The Rams promoted Hughes from their practice for the final seven games in 2011, and he played 44 snaps at tackle in three games. After being cut by the Rams in late August, Hughes spent the last six weeks on San Diego's practice squad."
