More climate change hysteria, hurricane winds extend less than 50 miles, meaning it is powerful but small.

"So if you want to play this game about a storm who's hurricane winds extend out less than 50 miles being a man made climate change signal ..."

Notice they haven't talked about the latest start to typhoon season in the Pacific, though, it doesn't fit the agenda.

"To someone truly into GLOBAL tropical cyclone activity there should be as much or more shock and awe about the Pacific. You have broken a record in the EPAC, I suspect this is lowest ACE/Date for west PAC and entire Pacific, and this could be a record low ace year for basin."

So technically, a change in climate norms.

The problem with the corn around here is that the roots aren't deep. If we start getting dry the corn is going to have a problem. In other topics, I'm wondering about the pork market. Should I buy or sell?

Just need an update on corn height.  Here in Whatcom County I don't think we're knee high yet. Iowa....it's gotta be taller by you?

Over 5 ft. tall here in CNY. Do you live near Manute Bol's grave?

Just here for the Death Valley temperature updates.

I'm glad H5 posted that forecast

I'm thinking of heading out there to experience it first hand -
and now that I know thermometers are a hoax, I'll be laughing at you rubes as I have the place all to myself.

Elect me to secretary of the interior (or some such position), I will promote my National Water Relocation Program.  When one part of the country gets to much water, it is simply pumped to other parts of the country that needs water.  We make all the things we need for it now anyway; pumps, pipes, and valves.  Of course, the world has to weather the situation until it is built.  I don't think taking bets on this is a good idea.  If someone bets the world doesn't weather the situation and wins, they will be washed away before they can collect.  Just saying .....
