I have had circus animal gas all weekend. Saturday was particularly comical. For what it's worth see link below. The point they bring up that I think is valid is that with all the injuries this year, Rodgers has had to work with a lot more personel changes, and for the most part has remained the more consistent QB. The Bears have stayed remarkably healthy this year, which is good for them. I'm not looking for excuses. I think the better team will win today because I do not see the Bears laying down regardless of their seed, like some media have guessed they might.

For those wondering, Cutler has 17 TDs and 7 INTs with a 99.3 rating in games with a final margin of 0-7 points (4 of those INTs coming in one game). He has 5 TDs and 2 INTs with a 100.5 QBR (2nd in NFL) in 4th QTR +/- 7 points. He has 6 TDs and 2 INTs with a 115 QBR (leads NFL) in the final two minutes of a half.

I took that data from my bears board. Unreal how much flack Cutler gets despite stats like these from nfl.com

Maybe he's just too "pouty"

BS

or, these stats say that when Rodgers is bad, they're still in the game in the 4th quarter and when he's good, they're so far out in front the 4th quarter doesn't matter. Conversely, when Cutler's having a bad day, they're not even in the game in the 4th quarter, so his stats don't apply.

Stats never lie, but you can use them to support just about any agenda you want.
What I find most amusing from DerpChicago is that he starts a thread titled "I didn't know Rodgers was so bad in the 4th quarter!", yet he fails to mention that Rodgers QBR in the 4th quarter is 93.6, while Cutler's is 85.0.

So, DerpChicago, you start a thread announcing that Rodgers is "so bad" in the 4th quarter, but then discuss a bunch of other stuff not related to your thread title and based on minimal data? Meanwhile as you try to imply that Cutler is better, you ignore that Rodgers is better than Cutler in the area you start a thread about?

No doubt the Packers have been brutal in close games this year while the Bears have been gifted. But I would think it would be obvious as to the reasons for the outcomes in these close games, even to the casual fan.

DeepChicago, do you think the Bears and Packers success/failure in close games in 2010 had more to do with Cutler/Rodgers, or maybe :

~ one team having a franchise record 18 penalties called against them
~ The NFL making a shocking game changing call on a Calvin Johnson game winning TD
~ NFL gifting the Bears another chance after Lions DT Suh legally tackled (Smiler) pudge-face to end the game and cap a Lions season sweep of the Bears
~ Jame Jones fumbles while the Packers are jamming the ball down the Bears throat for the winning score
~ Packers specials teams fails repeatedly after Packer offense and defense plays well enough to win(Bears, Dolphins, Patriots, Falcons, etc...)
~ while bears special teams has been the difference in several games

So, Rodgers QB rating has sunk down to 94 in the 4th quarter. Shocking I tell yah !!!

Cutler inside opponent's 20 yard line:

78.8 QBR 15 TD 3 INT 51.8 % completion

Rodgers:
107.1 QBR 18 TD 1 INT 65.7% completion

See, two can play at that game.

Those stats are a lot closer than the ones I posted.

Either way, Jay needs to help the team win a playoff game before I will start proclaiming him our savior. I did that when he was signed and look what it got me!

I just have to ask....how is a 28.3 point difference in QBR closer than a difference of 12.3 (games decided between 0-7 points)or a 14.9 (games decided by more than 7 points). Heck, the 36.5 point difference is in favor of Cutler, but is it really "a lot" better?
