Really loving the physicality of the defense this year and the young players making plays. The offense will gain some momentum as we go along and MM will make adjustments. This team will be battle tested and better equipment when, and I do mean when they make the post season. It starts this weekend against a pathetic Saints defense.

I said it the first two games, Hawk looks like what a 5th pick LB overall should look like.

Also, try to jerk off at halftime of each game, it helps with team synergy and adjustments.

You had me until the end there. I give you a C- for the effort.

Can't wait for Clay and Raji to take their anger out on that midget QB and Woodson to rack up a couple awesome INTs.

Also, who else love Jeroron McMillan back there at Safety?!?! That pass break up was awesome and that INT was a thing of beauty. Reminded me of a young Nick Collins! Also Sam Shields looked like 2010 Shields! Brees is going to have a hard time doing anything!
Agree with all above.

I think the offense's recent woes have a silver lining as well. It became just too easy last year. Forcing MM (and Rodgers) to change it up, to diversify the playcalling, especially with Benson and other potential playmakers like Cobb, DJ Williams and Alex Green, is not a bad thing.

Being too one-dimensional on offense was bound to cost the squad at some point. Becoming more successfully diversified will pay dividends come playoff time.
Our D, with five rooks in the lineup at times, is coming along faster than I would have thought. Give the coaching staff props! They have done a masterful job. The young 'uns did an awesome job on the INT, the knockdown and the interception at the end. They deserved that game.

Also, glad MM caught on that he was getting Rodgers killed and changed his game plan. Wish it would have come sooner, but maybe now he sees he has a new weapon in CedBen (but keep it in Kuhn's hands at the end of the game, please!) and will pound the rock more.

Was just about to say the same thing. He looks decisive and aggressive, quick and with good ball skills. Only thing he needs is experience and better knowledge of the playbook. It's early for all the rookies and we'll see how they look once O coordinators have some tape on them. But so far there is a lot to like.

Agree on the defense. They are playing outstanding. Worthy, Heyward, McMillan, Daniels and Perry look to be the real deal so far.

Let's not leave out Tramon who has regained his form... same goes for Shields. I don't know how a guy can struggle all summer and then look like a shutdown corner but I like it.

Don't forget about House.
Defense has had 2 good efforts in a row, and last night was better than last weeks'. It's hard to ask for more than that, but they do have to keep building ("stacking successes").
It goes without saying that the Saints still remain very potent on offense, and it'll require another great effort to throttle 'em.
Totally agree with the comments about our rookies on D. There's something very specific about the skillset they desire for our defensive players; whatever it is seems to produce playmakers. McMillan's INT was beautiful, but I think he tipped a another ball that was an even better play in my eyes. And Neal will get back into the rotation next week.

Offense, specifically OL, is scary. They showed in the 2nd half they can do the job, but it took 10 quarters to get there. I'm still encouraged, but it's not going to get any easier this week.

Oh, BTW derps, any particular techinque you suggest?
The White Knuckler? Speedshifting? Over the Hump?
Have you ever been to the "Fists of Fury" competitiions?
