Aaron Rodgers had his show earlier this afternoon, and Kevin Seifert wrote a piece on it over on ESPN's NFC North blog.

A small snippet.

quote:
Speaking on his ESPN 540 radio show in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon, Rodgers confirmed he apologized to Jones and made clear he wished the incident hadn't occurred at all.

"That was something I apologized for because I never want to show up a guy on the field like that," Rodgers said. "… It's the competitor coming out, which is not an excuse for it. … It's not something I enjoy doing. There are times where it definitely comes back the other way. You know how that feels. Almost to a man, there is always a moment of apology and getting back on the same page and realizing that as frustrating as the moment can be, the emotion shown is never really worth it."

It was out of character for Arod to show up Jones, and I'm glad he apologized for it. He's also right that the emotion shown isn't really worth it. The incident made Arod look like a prima donna jerk, right or wrong. I'm not saying he shouldn't get in Jones' grill a bit, but he should have done it on the bench and not in the heat of the immediate moment when you know the cameras are going to be on you.

As for Cutler's brush on Marshall's head, well, Marshall didn't look too pleased by it. While the pass hit him on the hands, he had to leap and twist for it -- not an impossible catch, but not a gimme either. Cutler should have taken a little heat for that throw considering how wide open Marshall was.
