Thanks guys. This will fall into the TLDR category, but I digress....

LS - it was a radio contest on Mad Dog radio (sirius). I had tried earlier in the week but failed. Basically you have to answer 4 questions about the Super Bowl. Usually he asks 2 general knowledge questions - not easy stuff some is difficult - and then 2 audio clips from a player. My winning try I got 3 regular questions and only 1 audio.

There are a bunch of questions he uses, but he does reuse them. So if you do your homework you have a big advantage. He also doesn't care if you use the computer, but you don't have a lot of time. Anyhow these were my 4 questions...I think the first question is one from yesterday, when I was telling my dad the story I couldn't remember the 1st question at all, but I think this is it.

1) How many sacks for Reggie White in SB 31? A) 3

2) SB MVP born on Christmas - A) Csonka

3) This one almost got me. Who scored the only TD for Redskins in SB 7? I remembered the play, did not know the player. I had a page with all the SB box scores and stalled just long enough to find the player - Mike Bass. He gave me a little humorous grief for that one he's like "google helped you out there just in time".

4) This one I had heard earlier in the day and immediately had an answer in my head who I thought it was. The sound bite was essentially

"We had all those great players of those teams in the past, the heroes, they walked out there with us for those games, they showed us how to carry on the greatness". That was essentially the quote, paraphrased poorly by me I'm sure. There are clues in the clip - the great teams of the past and "games" plural, meaning they also went to a few Super Bowls. The voice was very recognizable for me, so I said...

and he just yells out "YESSSSSSSSSS!" and I couldn't believe it. He asked how I knew it was William Henderson and I just said being a Packer fan I really recognized the voice and mentioned how the clues in the clip really helped seal the deal.

Absolutely.
Ive been listening to Mad Dog all week. Listened to caller after caller go down in flames.

2 Callers in a row had no answer to the following play by play SB call:

"(name blanked out) comes to the line, (blanked out again) drops back to pass. He throws over the middle and he's got Max McGee. He's in the clear to the 15....and he's in for a touchdown. And the Packers strike first!"

The question? Name the QB in the clip.

Back to back callers had no clue. Both asked to have the clip played again. Neither still had any idea. Mad Dog absolutely LOST HIS MIND that someone would take the time to listen to a sports station and then call in and have no idea what the answer was.

Congrats GBP! Hope to see a complete fluff report after the game. Get to St Elmo's Steak House for the Shrimp Cocktail at the bar if you get a chance. Highly recommended.
CJ - yeah it was rather embarassing some of the questions people would get wrong. Another day he had a minor meltdown after someone couldn't answer "who made the famous block in the ice bowl?" There was one on the play you mentioned, the Max McGee play where a guy answered "Marvin Harrison".

The next guy who called in said "Hey Dog don't you remember the famous Starr to Marvin Harrison combination?" which was pretty funny.

Yeah not exactly great timing with the cold weather city/teams I don't like but I'll take what I can get

So give us more details, besides the game, what else does the trip offer?

I'd like to say hookers and blow but it's the game, 4 nights hotel (motel 6 in Gary, IN) and flight. Flight includes layovers in LA, Dallas, Atlanta and maybe Buffalo. In all seriousness I'm not sure what the hotel details and flight stuff is or even where the tickets are. I will know more on Monday.
Congrats on the win, but I wouldn't even try to win any unless the Packers were playing.

I have a feeling that, other than the North Eastern part of the country, viewership will be down. I think this is a game that you record on your DVR and then come back and fast forward through the game so you can watch the commercials. Kind of the opposite that I do with all other shows I record
