Going into the Falcon game, I was kind of happy with having taken a step forward from last year. But we beat the number one seed on the NFC, so now anything less than going to the Super Bowl will be a let down. I don't know what would be worse, losing to the Bears or losing to the worst team to ever make the playoffs. I just hope the team is able to refocus and play next week like they're capable of playing.

Bull****. The Falcons are a product of a soft schedule. Yes, they are a very good team but they would've gotten their ass kicked in the NFCCG or Superbowl.
To me half the fun of a playoff ride is believing you're going to win it all the whole time. I've felt that way for every single Packer team that made the playoffs no matter the seed or the injuries and this time is no different. Any time they lose it's a disappointment. If you're favorite team is going to the championship game and you're just happy to be there you shouldn't be watching football imo. If you have a team good enough to win the Superbowl and you don't, you should feel let down.

C'mon...a loss to the Bears or a loss to the 7-9 Hags would be tough end to this season...regardless of injuries, etc. Heck, I bet the Pack is favored next week no matter who they play.

Plain fact is they are a better team than either the Bears or the Hags and I don't want another 2007 disappointment. Remember, that team wasn't supposed to be there either.

Seriously, if this teaches us anything it should be to never give up. Look at our favorite team. They have sustained an inordinate amount of injuries, bad calls, etc and have continued to improve! They are the epitome of resilience and perseverance and hard, hard work. I really think everyone could learn a life lesson from this football team, including me. I'm hopeful that this is the case for all of us. Meanwhile, satisfied with it or not, win or lose the NFCCG, we have been given a gift this year. A simply amazing run with a bunch of no-names becoming big names and now a chance to win the entire NFC, when many wrote us off after Washington and Miami. Huh. Good chance to learn how NOT to give up, right? You want the SB? You're right to want that but also be satisfied, no be ecstatic that the Packers have done what they have already done. Which is prove they are an exciting and powerful football team that can beat anyone. We are very fortunate to have that. Be appreciative even if you want more.

Well said. Very, very well said.

100+ games lost by starters. It's ridiculous this team is playing in the NFCC.

Just sit back. Take it all in.

Agreed Packerboi.

As I said earlier, I would love to win the Super Bowl. What Packer fan wouldn't? But I'm just enjoying the ride right now, maybe more now than I ever have.

This team is for real. We've won 4 playoff games in a row, in essence. It might end next weekend, or it might end with McCarthy, Woody and Rodgers hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Either way, it's been a great season, and I'm friggin' excited about this team's future.

I think that's the point I was trying to make. WE are now the best team in the NFC. The Bears and the Seahawks are clearly inferior. I could have stomached losing to the Falcons, but not to either of those two teams.
I think the game last night proved what this team is capable of doing when they are clicking and the offense and defense are on the same page. Yes, they've had a lot of injuries, but this is a really good team and let's remember that coming into the season some in the media thought if things went well they would represent the NFC in the Superbowl.

It really reminds me a lot of the UW Badgers season this year. They were expected to do well but I don't think many predicted them to win the Big Ten and go to the Rose Bowl.

Let's just hope that the Packers don't pull a Badgers and lose to a TCU, I mean, Chicago or Seattle. Now that they've made it this far, it's clear to me they are the best team in the NFC- they just need to prove it.

Make the Superbowl and anything goes. There is not one team in the league that scares me right now.
After the Philly win I was happy just getting to this weekend then as the week went on I thought it would really suck to lose to this Falcon team, as they are just not all that great. They won a ton of fluke games late and weren't nearly as strong as their record indicated.

I think it's the same way next weekend. GB is the superior team to both. I can see what OP is saying...it just may have been worded poorly. A loss next week would be pretty tough to handle, as they are clearly the best team left in the NFC.

Going to be a fun week this week. Enjoy the week these Packer NFCC games don't come around very often!
Same feelings here too. No teams out there scares me.They did before but not now. Last nights game was the litmus test and we shined. Could have anyone expected the Pack to play any better ? What we saw is a team of championship caliber, no doubt about it anymore. We seem to be peaking as the post-season goes along. Perfect timing. As I have said in another topic the Pack have just won 2 playoff games in 6 days.It had taken us 5 seasons to get the prior two playoff wins. After we clinched a playoff berth two weeks ago I expected the Pack to win at least one game. Now suddenly two weeks later I feel anything short of a Super Bowl berth would be dissapointing.Great days we are livin !
Considering who our opponent is likely to be, I agree. Seattle has a loud crowd and a veteran QB. Not much else we can't handle. Chicago has a great D and a super return artist, but the QB is mistake prone and the OL should set the table for CMIII.

I was thinking Baltimore would get to the Super Bowl, but I really don't care who from the AFC is there now. It would be cool to see New England as I think we match up with them real well. As long as their Offensive Lineman aren't returning kicks.
Seattle matches up better defensively against the Packers IMO because they have a lot of team speed and their DBs are better IMO.

They also have a physical running game - which is something Chicago does not.

I know Chicago usually gives us trouble, but I'll take playing against Cutler because we are familiar with what they do whereas Seattle is really unpredictable. I know we won't overlook the Bears, but we could take Seattle for granted.

I can't believe I just said it- I'd rather play the Bores?
I'll tell you what- Pittsburgh looks scary right now the way they are playing D. Sure, tend to throw the ball too often, but Big Ben is a gamer and Woodley and Harrison are easily the best pass rushers left in the playoffs. Then there's the long haired guy (Polamalu) that plays like a maniac.

I'd rather we play New England if we have the chance.
