The ICE BOWL game will be shown tonight on NFL network at 8:30 LFT or CST. It will be preceded at 7:30 by top 10 Weather games which include the Ice Bowl and the Snow Bowl which I assume is playoff game with Seattle. If you have never watched the ICE BOWL gather your family around this Christmas Eve and watch the all time greatest game of the Packers and Lombardi history.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all TimesFour members!!!!!

Positives

-Came out blazing, jumped to early 14-0 lead
-D-line got good pressure, especially early
-Play calling in 1st and 4th quarters were exceptional
-Nitsche 'words' may have sparked offense on final series.
-Starr: true leader!

Negative

-Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers!!! Mad
-Playing calling in middle two quarters was atrocious
-Execution in those quarters was even worse.
+ smoking allowed at Lambeau
Willie Wood best safety of all time
LeRoy Caffey-underated linebacker
Bowman and Kramer's game winning block
two bar face masks
Aikman and Buck weren't born yet---one announcer format was a thing of beauty-- if it was a FOX game, I can hear Aikman: "Clearly Kramer had a hold of Pugh's jersey, that should have been 10 yards"

-Bowman, Gregg and Kramer's pass protection---surely we had somebody on the taxi squad that could protect Starr
waiting in line to Pee when it's 14 below
Loved Dave Robinson's story about the young man visiting his girlfriend who bailed out the "stranded" linebacker whose car wouldn't start:

* drove Robinson and his family to the game

* went back to Robinson's house and started his car

* drove Robinson's car to Lambeau, parked in the player's parking area, and left the keys in the car for DR

As Robinson said about the incident, "Only in Green Bay." Indeed.

It was George Andrie who did most of the damage pass rushing. That was Skoronski's guy. Also blitzing LB had big impact too and that's on everybody.

I was 'sort of' kidding-considering they were 3 of the best lineman ever to play for the Pack---Forrest Gregg had his usual excellent game--he was the best tackle of that era--but the DTs in the Ice Bowl had 4 sacks and constant pressure (Pugh and Lilly were no push overs and the field was slick for back pedaling) but much of that was coming right thru the middle...it reminded me of hard it is to offer consistent and perfect protection in the interior--no matter who you have up front.
