If you had the opportunity to meet any Packer player, somebody on the team currently, or somebody from our storied past, who'd it be?

It's hard for me to select just one player, but I think meeting Bart Starr would make for an amazing experience. He's the epitome of "Packer people"-a perfect gentleman to say the least. He is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. He was a winner, and the stories he could tell about the Lombardi teams alone would be worth the cost of a plane ticket.

I don't know if the Packers have ever had a better ambassador than #15. I hope some day soon I get a chance to talk to him, and shake his hand. Maybe get an autograph, and a picture taken with him.

Bart Starr is still the man

Agree completely with you about Bart, LS.

I also have a very hard time with the 'one person' limitation because there are several very distinct eras of Packer lore to choose from. I would love to meet someone from those championship teams of the 30s and 20s because I wonder what the game was like -- and what it was like to be a Packer -- in the days before Big Money changed it forever.
Don Hutson. To see what it was like playing football back then, and what made him so special as an athlete and person. I'd like to see his perspective on the game back then compared to today's money driven, media-crazed, corporatized game.

Bart Starr in second place to ask him about Lombardi and just to see a HOFer who is probably the classiest pro athlete in history, much less in GBP history.
Agree with Mr Starr.

Side note: at the bar last night saw a show (on NFL net, I think) called 10 most underrated players. Had a nice selection Otis Anderson, Ken Anderson, David Krieg among others. And the #1 most under rated player?
Bart Starr.
How cool is it that a 5 time champion hall of famer is STILL under rated? I think he deserves a Chuck Norris level of mythos.

Bart Starr doesn't read your blitz-He makes you stand up and recite it from memory.
As both a Packer fan and a grad of Illinois, Nitschke has been my favorite for many reasons. I got to meet him at O'Hare. I had a Packer hat on and my Illinois jacket. He gave me a thumbs up. After I came to from passing out, we shot the bull for about 10 minutes waiting for our luggage.

Would have loved to hang with him for hours. Seemed like an amazing guy, friendly as hell.

Driver is my favorite Packer. I didn't choose him because he lives in the same town I do during the offseason, so I figure sooner or later I might bump into him.

I'd love the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Nitschke, too. On the field, he'd try to rip your head off. Away from it, he was supposed to be the nicest guy possible.
