If the season ends up like the football team I’ll be surprised if a move isn’t made with Gard in the offseason

That’s the state of big time college athletics and Gard isn’t immune to it.  Doesn’t make him a bad guy or a terrible coach, but this is a top 15 athletic program in the country. You need top 15 level performance.  

Very true. We all agree Gard can coach but some of us think he's limited when recruiting. I never said I wanted him replaced but I think McIntosh set a precedent with Chryst and Gard is in the same spot if this team really tanks. We have a team well outside the rankings and the 39th ranked recruiting class coming in next season. How can things get better without a change?

There’s another thing to consider

Outside of Purdue there are no dominant or elite level teams in the BT.  Maryland and Indiana and MSU are decent, but when Rutgers and NW are in the top 1/3 of the conference it’s not really good.  

UW should be a whole lot better than they are considering how they started the season.  But it’s been a trend with Gard teams.  Start strong and once opponents get tape on you and can prepare the gap is closed pretty quickly.
