As odd as this may sound, last night was the first time this season that I've been impressed with the Packer team. 4-0 prior to the game was nothing to sneeze at... but last night's win just did it for me for some reason.

Going on the road against a good team that planned the whole off season to beat you is a tough task. Spotting them 14 points doesn't help. Losing your LT leaves you not much of a chance.

But the team kept it's cool. Rodgers didn't blink. The coaching staff made adjustments. The defense shut the Falcons down the rest of the game. Next man up steps in at tackle.

5-0. Kiss my ass.

I felt the offense had underperformed in the first 4 games.

When Clifton went down I was wondering if MM regretted sitting Bulaga after BB claimed he was ready to go. Then MM flipped the OTs after stating that Sherrod was the backup LT. Went max protect and AR was still getting sacked from inside pressure. Lang, Wells and Sitton were the ones getting the QB hit. Finely dropping TD passes, 2 point conversion passes and first down passes.

That game could have spiraled out of control.
That was a really impressive win. It looked like Atlanta might score 40 the way they began. Defense really did well adjusting and making plays. The offense also did great making up for the Clifton loss. Too many drops...especially Finley. Too many sacks (to be expected with two green tackles). Otherwise, a really great game by the offense.

Rodgers is just on another planet.

Except for the defense that will inevitably cause the season to come to a sudden halt in the playoffs... if we get there.
Never said it wasnt a good football team-said just the opposite, but the defense scares me. Especially the d line. Raji and Pickett are good, but Wynn and Wilson appear to be average backups so far. Walden had been steady against the run but has been pedestrian at best as a rushcer. That being said, this is a good team
I'm not concerned with the defense because I expect growing pains with the loss of Collins and not having Neal. Shields was out today and before that it was Williams. I have a ton of faith in Capers. While it's not the best D in the league, it's certainly good enough and is full of playmakers that can change games in one play.

Besides, the offense is so good they can outscore anybody. Not to mention our kicker and punter are lights out and Cobb (When he hangs onto the football) seems to have the ability to take one to the house on any given return.

To me, this is a recipe for success. I believe this team is currently on a 13 game winning streak. That is mind boggling in today's NFL. To think, we probably haven't seen a complete game yet either.

Oh.. No need to apologize. I don't take the whole message board thing seriously, believe me.
We're 7 games in. 7-0. Defense hasn't hurt us so far and we're missing some key components, specifically Nick Collins and Sam Shields.

They're doing good especially since the rules are geared toward the offenses now. Not thrilled with the defense but I'm happy with where they're at, at this point in the season.
I get a little concerned about injuries to the secondary. Losing Collins was a blow, but losing Woodson or Shields or Williams for a period of time would be more significant because it means Jarrett Bush or Pat Lee will get a lot of playing time.

We've seen what happens when either of those two guys are in there, and it's not pretty.

Still, what I am impressed with is they come out after halftime and Capers just seems to make the right adjustments to turn the tide. In addition, for as "bad" as the defense has looked they are only allowing about 20PPG- that's good for 9th overall.
We lose a couple starters (Collins, Shields, Neal, Zombo) and we have a one armed db (Williams), a first year safety with a broken hand (Burnett), and CMIII is still recovering from a hamstring. That is over 50% of your defense either out or nicked.

We have played some teams with solid offenses and a couple shiny new qb's which is always given us grief. Not to forget 4 games away.

This defense is evolving a lot like last years.
