Interesting data on games lost due to injury:

A couple things stand out: 1) The wild fluctuation that we have  (2nd lowest total in league in 2006 with 13 to the highest number in league last season with 83) 2) Three of the teams that beat us last season were extremely fortunate with injuries ....SF with 8 games missed, Seattle with 11, and Minny with 24. Odds are against this happening again.

It's probably my own bias and hypersensitivity to our injuries, but with the way MM's staff handles injuries, I just expect a guy supposedly out for 1-2 weeks really means a month out.

Certainly injuries to guys like Desmond Bishop were no brainers and there is nothing any NFL team can do when a player is hurt that bad. But I also sensed from CMIII and Woodson that both guys were ready to go weeks before they got on the field. Perhaps that also applied to Jennings to some degree as well. I guess we'll never know for sure. The staff here seems to take "cautious" to a different level then other teams do.

GB has the second highest number of games missed by any team in a season over the past 7 years with 91 in 2010. Yet somehow that team got better and better during it's last 6 games including beating the top 3 seeds on the road in the playoffs.

As the years go by it becomes harder and harder to justify how in the world that team found a way to get it done. What a team and what a job by McCarthy.

Couple of thoughts:

1. Perhaps the injury bug is biting these asswipes like it did GB last year.
2. This actually hurts the Whiners pretty significantly.
3. Screw them.
4. I hope the doctor who does the surgery is gay.
