http://profootballtalk.nbcspor...launches-next-month/

For the TV version of this specific web destination, which airs every weekday at 5:00 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, we’ll be unveiling next month the “Mt. Rushmore” for every NFL franchise.

Basically, we’ll name the four persons whose heads would appear on a very large stone sculpture depicting the organization. Players, coaches, administrators, owners, whoever.

Before we can identify the finalists on which you’ll vote, we need nominees. And we invite you to make your nominations below.

First up: The Dallas Cowboys.

When it's the Packs turn, I'd stay away from naming players and go with
Calhoun, Lambeau, Lombardi, and Harlan(?)

I like your list and agree they should stay away from players for the GBP - too many good ones over the years. and Harlan definitely belongs. maybe, MAYBE, replace Calhoun with The City of Green Bay? without the entire embrace/love of that community it would have never survived.
If you're going with players alone, I'd go with:

Starr
Nitschke
Hutson
White

I went with White because I thought the "newer" era needed to be represented. Favre douched his way out of consideration. Woodson was my second choice with the assumption that he'll be a HOF player.

Favre, Darren Sharpier, Longwell and Greg Jennings. All have Super Bowl rings.
Lambeau, Lombardi for sure.

Starr because he was not just a player but also a coach- basically part of the organization for 25 years. Sure, not a great coach, but he was part of the orhanization at the highest levels for that long.

That last should be the owners...

I like the Harlan, Lombardi, & Lambeau idea, but I would have to include Bart Starr as the 4th one. IMO he is the face of everything that was good about the Packers & the NFL.

This would be my vote.

I'll take Jax:

Coughlin, Boselli, Brunell, Fred Taylor.

Could be worse.

Mrs. Blair Kiel and I, as part of civic duty, have decided to support the Jaguars this year-----consider me your Jag correspondent.

New owner. New GM. New coach. New logo. New unis.

They're trying.

Seconded! There'd be no team in GB without them to start with and later Lambeau would have succeed in moving the team.
Packers players only - likely result: Hutson, Starr, Nitschke, Favre (as much as I would hate this he defined the franchise for 15 years).

What I'd like to see: Hutson, Starr, Nitschke, Rodgers (have to have someone from the modern era).

If you include executives/management: Lambeau, Lombardi, Ron Wolf, Ted Thompson - this would represent every era in which they won an NFL championship

Other NFC NOrth teams:

Chicago - Halas, Payton, Ditka, Sayers, Butkus, Singletary, Urlacher (hard to separate which three besides Halas should be included).

Minnesota - Bud Grant, Jim Marshall, Fran Tarkenton, Alan Page

Detroit - Bobby Layne, Barry Sanders, who else? (Calvin Johnson?)
Have a hard time even visiting this site. Support florio? Why? For starters, he tried to start a nationwide mockery of a completely innocent Packer player stemming from pure jealousy on his part. He's also a piece of work for his passive aggressive nature of promoting the vikings.

The only entertaining part is watching the Packers continued dominance to his disgust.
And there you have it.

So when the Vikings Mt Rushmore is on the clock, I'm sending this:

A f*****g pile of gravel. And I'm going to send it as many times as I can.

And to those who said Curly, Callhoun, Lombardi, and Harlan. I'm on board. Those are the faces of the Packers. Because you can't fit 13 Championships into 4 spots.

Absolutely, but if we sit here and do nothing, Favre will wind up on the GB Rushmore. Would you rather ignore him and let him get his way, or give it the ol' Click For Cans push and establish a worthy four on the mountain?

Well, if it's the pft version of Mount Rushmore, they could put Terrell Buckley, Jamal Reynolds, tony mandarich and cletidus hunt up there for all I care.

Evidently you missed this part...

Don't let your PFT/Florio hate stop you from from making good Packer choices...
It’s Vikings Mt. Rushmore nomination time

The process of nominating players from each franchise for 32 separate Mt. Rushmores moves from the NFC South to the NFC North.

And we’ll start the NFC North with the youngest of the four franchises, at 52.

Name your nominees below for the Vikings’ Mt. Rushmore. Maybe voice of the Vikings Paul Allen will scream out the name of each of the finalists when the time comes for the official vote.

And we invite Packers fans to disrupt the process with sarcastic submissions (e.g., Troy Williamson, Brad Childress). It’s safe to say Vikings fans will return the favor.

I read the comments for the queens rushmore and was flabbergasted that the majority of queens fans posting there don't list Bud Grant #1. but, I suppose, why should I expect anything different.

To date, I've always just considered you a jag. We'll see if that changes as the season progresses.
