I was at that **** show.

1) Every few minutes before the game they had a player video telling the fans that they are "Starting a new tradition at Carver-Hawkeye Arena!  Stand for the player introduction all they way until the Hawks score their first point!  Show your spirit!!!"  Everyone sat down seconds after the opening tip.

2) That was the worst exhibition of rebounding I have ever seen in a Badger team.  I'm now on the fire Gard bandwagon.  I also thought his substitutions were ****, but, talent and all...

3) The Hawks suck

4) Davidson is not a point guard.

5) The place was half empty.  Hardly any student section.

6) The student section that was there started chanting "three more points" after Iowa got the score to 66.  That made me laugh.

7) There was a lady behind us who bellowed "Go Haaaaaaaaaaaawks" over and over again.  Not with the flow of the game, not at important times. just really loud and obnoxious.  The Hawk fans in front of us were constantly turning to look at her and visibly annoyed by her demonstration of Iowa love.

I bought her lifetime season tickets.

1-8 on the road, and losing to bad teams.

Nothing much to see here. Wisconsin basketball has taken a hit this season because the coaches can’t coach. Bucks figured this sh*t out. Paging Barry Alvarez...

I don't think Popovich could win in the Big 10 with the talent the Badgers are running out there right now. It's Ethan Happ, two guys who should be redshirting or are playing hurt (Reuvers and Davison), and a bunch of guys did not live up to there promise as recruits. It was a terrible game last night, but at least Iverson and Thomas have shown some life recently. They'd fit well into the 8th or 9th guys on the good teams in previous years. If you took Ethan Happ off this team, I think they'd struggle against some D2 and D3 teams.

Let's see what happens next year when they get guys back from injury and Reuvers gets a year in weight room in. Happ, Reuvers, a healthy Davison, Trice, and Kobe King are a decent looking starting 5. Iverson should be good as a defense/rebounding guy off the bench. If they still struggle next year, then it's time for Barry to start looking fast.

No dude- I don’t think this is the right point of view. The issue isn’t talent per se. it is the development of the talent. I don’t think this squad would be nearly this bad if they would have received the same coaching the last 2 years as Ryan delivered to previous classes. Gard is sayingbit in his post game without knowing it- he can identify what’s wrong and why they’re failing, without the ability to coach them to correct it.

Some guys can see but not teach. Some guys can teach but not recruit. It sure would be nice to have a guy that can do both...
