The issue with Iowa is they lack interior size.  Just like against LSU they are getting killed on the glass. The difference is South Carolina has good perimeter defenders and several guards that can hit outside shots (sorry LSU).

You can see why the Cocks haven’t lost a game.  They’ve assembled pretty much a perfect roster and their depth is impressive as well.

I know they don’t have a WAR statistic but if they did Clark is probably best all time.

Heckuva run, but in the end Clark wasted some of those possessions in the last couple of minutes. She was trying bombs and bad shots and didn't even try to run the offense, and everyone knew she was going to toss it up. Clark's teammates just stood around and watched because they knew they weren't going to see the ball. Clark needed to make some passes to give herself some space. Whoever was on Clark did a great job and SC cleaned up the glass. SC played some really good D, and after Clark had 18 in the first quarter she scored only 12 the rest of the way -- and she had four turnovers. Great player, but has to learn the same lesson that Michael Jordan did: you need to make everyone else better for your team to win it all.

But give SC and Staley a ton of credit. Their PG can really control the ball, they moved the ball all the time, and after a slow start they really took over the game.

Interesting thing about SC: they graduated their starting five from last year. The incoming kids and the team played together all summer to get ready for the year. They thought they'd eventually be good, but not this good this soon!
