After seeing Eddie Pineiro knock through his second 50+ yard FG (outside at night) this evening for Carolina, does anyone know if a member of the intrepid Pack press asked MLF why he chose not to allow Carlson to try a 56-yarder on the opening drive.

That was a head scratcher.

Just saw that on replay. Awful.

Absolutely awful. Left knee hyperextended. He's done for the year.

Classy Steelers fans chanting CHUBB CHUBB. That's was cool to see and hear. Steeler fans only 2nd to Packer fans in being classy

I’m personally rooting for the Saints tonight.  Would rather they come into Lambeau 2-0 on a short week maybe slightly less hungry for a win.  If they lose they’ll come in a little more focused.  That’s my silly and probably wrong analysis but that’s my reason for wanting the Saints to win tonight.

He said something to the effect that 56 yds was too long an attempt. Nevermind calling timeout to avoid delay of game. Nevermind that 56 in a dome is somewhat routine these days. At the very least a reasonable attempt for a guy with a great leg. Sounded like MLF screwed up in letting the clock run out and was covering his ass. A vet coach doesn't make such fundamental errors.

Welp......you got your wish

I just want us to look at the box score from the Steelers’ 26-22 win over the Browns last night. Some choice stats:

  • Pittsburgh managed just 255 yards of offense.
  • It held the ball for only 24:32.
  • Kenny Pickett completed 50 percent of his passes and, outside of this touchdown pass to George Pickens, looked iffy.

And yet: Still a win. The defense scored two touchdowns, more than the offensive unit. Fans were calling for offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s job online and in the stands. It’s hard to imagine worse vibes for a team after a win.

Jordan Love looks way better than Pickett.

Snagged from someplace...

Instead, the Packers opted to trade back and ended up drafting corner Kevin King out of the University of Washington with the 33rd pick
