Dez Bryant couldn't catch a cold and is dumber than a bag of hammers and Kevin Ogletree seems a little brighter but about as deft with his hands. Miles Audstin must be training with Mike Neal. Their biggest threat is a half-spleened TE.
It is fascinating watching fans and media react to Romo and Cutler. Those two have the market cornered on "It really looks like he's finally turned the corner". They're both good for 2 or 3 of them every year.

Romo beats the Giants in NY week 1. He's turned the corner. He'll turn in a solid performance in a couple weeks and it starts the cycle all over again. Bear fans will ignore the Packer game two short weeks ago but a big helping of reminder is never more than a week away.

Bottom line, you're never winning a SB with either guy. After all these years they are what they are. Serviceable head cases fully capable of epic highs and crushing failure within the span of 7 days.

I was surprised to see a stat where the Bears were 18-3 in the last 25 games when they were playing someone other than the Packers. 0-4 vs. the Pack in that 25 game span. It seems like the Pack has Cutler and the Bears figured out, but very few other teams do.

I feel like the Pack is a better team than the Bears, but that 18-3 record the Bears have vs. non-Packer opponents is pretty impressive. They're probably better than we think.

I'd be surprised to see it too. They lost both regular season games against the Packers last year, and if they only lost three games to non-Packer teams in the last 25, they would have to have gone at least 11-5 last year, which would have been more than enough to make the playoffs.

LOL. You got me on that one. Maybe there was something I missed, like maybe games Cutler started? I saw that stat this morning and was surprised, and now I know why it surprised me... because it isn't true.
No idea what the stat is supposed to be.

Looked back at Bears division record

2011 3-3
2010 5-1
2009 3-3

I know they have lost more than 3 games other than losses to the Packers
We have a pretty good run going with Jay since the beginning of last year, but G.B. owns us. Lovie and Cutler are affected by that team, that coach that scheme.

Sucks to admit it, but it's true.
DC....

Admitting your problem is a good first step.

Tell us about the problems you've had with socializing with your own ilk as opposed to trolling another teams' board.

Then tell us why your parents didn't love you.
I spend 5-7 min on this site a day and you and others have a hissy fit because I'm playing with your sand on your playground.

Maybe a couple less hours a day trolling would put you in a better mood.

I mean, at least you're not in last place in the North.

Okay, the mystery has been solved. The stat relates to the last 25 games Cutler started including playoffs. They weren't counting games that Cutler didn't start.

2010 - Bears finish 8-3 with 2 losses coming to the Pack making it 8-1 for Cutler against non-Packer opponents (including Seattle playoff win).

2011 - Bears start 7-3 with 1 loss coming to the Pack making it 7-2 in non-Packer games. Cutler doesn't start after week 10 as he is hurt

2012 - Bears start 3-1 with 1 loss coming to the Pack making it 3-0 vs. non-Packer opponents.

18-3 for Cutler vs. teams other than the Pack. 0-4 vs. the Pack.

Yeah, that stat is a bit of a stretch but it does show the Pack has the Bears number when Cutler plays. I am pretty sure I must have seen that stat on an ESPN crawl.. I wouldn't have made it up myself. Smiler

Doesn't somebody owe Boris a $100 donation? Who was that guy?

Yup I did and it has been sent.

Wasn't 2010 the year we lost to the Bears in that 18-20 penalty game at the beginning of the year?

Yes, but I think whomever put that stat graphic up was referring to Cutler's last 25 starts, and that game that the Bears won early in 2010 was actually something like 28-30 starts ago. The stat is a bit of a stretch as they sort of picked a time when the Bears began a winning streak to use the stat.

Just reading this now, and I agree with everything in this post. I'm amazed at how the local fans have been piling on Romo. He and Jay are nearly identical QBs with damn near identical stats to this point!
