It's Bye Week

Still is crazy to me the bye is so late this year.  But then again it might hit just perfectly to get healed up the best that they can.  I was actually kind of wondering if the Bores game would get flexed but glad that its staying as it is.

Man, the Packers are so popular not even a game against the shitty Bores can get them demoted to a lower time slot.

I'd rather have the Bares game at 4:25. Those 8:20 starts on the east coast cut into my beauty sleep and it shows!

What's great about this is the divisional Seahawks at Rams is flexed out of the 3:25 Game of the Week on Fox to make way for the Packers playing an AFC team.

Very true on the EST.  I am ugly enough as it is I can't afford to get little sleep.

Really hope we get some good news on Jaier.   Z would be huge too but I'm not optimistic that he plays this season. 

I'm thinking no news is bad news at this point when it comes to Z and Alexander.

Yeah, we haven't even gotten the traditional "they're close" or "they're making progress" or anything like that.

2016: 32nd

2017: 30th

2018: 32nd

2019: 24th

2020: 29th

2021: 30th

From a pre-2014 season article: "Since Shawn Slocum was named special teams coordinator in 2009, the Packers have finished 31st, 29th, tied for 13th, 12th and 20th."

The article is entitled "Green Bay Packers' Special Teams Have to Get Better in 2014."

Um, no they didn't have to get better and they didn't get better.

The 2014 STs unit finished 32nd overall (that would be last) ... and crowned that performance with the fake field goal and onside kick in the NFCCG.

I mean, the punter is a significant improvement. Everything else? Same as it ever was.

Z was mearing a mask on the sidelines last week.  Is this because he was not active and thus has to wear a mask or is it because his not vaccinated?

"unvaccinated Inactive Players (e.g., Practice Squad or IR) who are on the sideline must  wear a mask"

We see where this is going, right?  He finally gets activated for the playoffs, maybe even the NFCCG but gets covid the week before and is ruled out.
