Starting to wonder if it was really Frank Reich that was the reason for Philly's  offensive success in 2017. Pedersen hasn't looked so great since he left...and the Colts are on the rise.

This Colts defense is for real. Tough and fast on all 3 levels. Good challenge !!

I'm wondering if a Packer's loss, in Indy, gives MLF the juice to fire Pettine, at the end of the year? If Pettine's defense sputters and Rivers slices and dices the coverage, like he did to us in San Diego, last year, one would think the writing is on the wall. But hey, I've been wrong before! I admit it freely.

Don't worry about the defense,  There was a Gary sighting last week.  Oh, and some writer wrote a paragraph or two about him turning the corner.  So the D will be fine.

Abut the defense this Sunday, it looks like Montravious Adams will miss another game due to injury.

Taking a look back at last season's Chargers game in LA, (a game in which Adams did play and recorded 3 tackles) whenever Rivers saw # 94 and #95 on the field together he mostly passed knowing they offer nothing in the pass rush and GB would either have to bring 5 to generate pressure (and he could then make quick throws to the TE -- Henry went 7 for 84 yards, or his RBs --who caught 8 for 60) or if the Pack did not bring 5 (or more) he could sit back and wait while Z or Kenny were being double and triple teamed and #s 94 and 95 "rushed" like they were both in quicksand and throw deeper patterns (even with his noodle arm) to his WRs (Mike Williams 3 for 111 and a long of 56).

And when Pettine went light in the box, Rivers was more than happy to check to the run and hand the ball off to his RBs who gashed the Pack for 159 yards on 38 carries.

#94 played 41 of the 71 defensive snaps against the Chargers (58%), the second most among defensive linemen, and recorded ZERO tackles. He was easily dominated by the Chargers' nobody guards Feeney & Schofield. Does Indy have anyone at Guard?
As for #95, he played 29 snaps (41%) in that game and assisted on his lone tackle when Z forced the incomparable escape-artist Rivers up in the pocket and thus got credit for not only a SINGLE unassisted tackle but also a 1/2 a sack. That 1/2 sack is #95's only one over the last 16 games. (#94's lone sack over those same 16 games came when he went unblocked against the Vikings a few weeks ago).
Rivers is the least mobile QB in the NFL and his arm strength has declined significantly from his prime, but he is more than capable of exploiting glaring defensive weaknesses.
Can Pettine come up with a scheme to limit the Pack's obvious defensive deficiencies or will we see a replay of last season's Chargers' game, the NFC Championship game, the recent Vikings' loss, etc.?

Line went from +2.5 Colts all the way down to -1.5 Colts - a 4 point swing with a SHITLOAD of money on the Colts.

This is the type of game the Packers have won in the past. Let's see what happens today.

It moved really fast to -2 Colts then back to -1.5 a couple days later. Bad estimate on the odds and they had to get a lot of money coming in fast on the other side.

Early in the week, I really liked the Colts - but now....I just have a hunch this will be one of those "signature" games for the Pack

Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts OVER 51.5
