Let's hope our OTs are healthy for this one.  I don't see our defense being able to hold Dallas under 27, so the offense needs to be on point and dominant like it was in the playoff win.  I don't see any 17-14 type game here, it's going to be more like 34-31, hopefully we have the 34.

I surmise like everybody here I have the view of the game that it will be  a high scoring affair that GB can will but who knows!  I am hoping the O-line is back together because GB will need their bookends!

Having seen more of the Cowpukes than I really wanted teams seem to have zoned in on the way to beat them is to control Elliot and  the short passing game.  Denver really sat on them and the Giants' played them very tough but lacked any sort of offense and the Cardinals dominated them but then folded when the Cardinals offense couldn't put them away. Rams seemed poised to give the game away by over rushing but in the second half they really clamped down on Elliot and Prescott could not win the game for them.

My belief is that GB will have to follow the Cardinals game plan with extensive use of the Nitro and well time run-blitzes.  It will mean that unlike the Cardinals they will have to score when given the opportunity!  Like above I think 34-31 and am rubbing my magic lantern that its GB 34.

I just don't get how a running back doesn't have his ribs protected. It seems like the worse injuries get, the skimpier the pads get.

They don't even hardly wear knee pads anymore, or cups, or butt pads, and thigh pads are like half the size they used to be. Quarterbacks protect their chest and backs, why not running backs?

It seems like such a preventable injury. All these advancements with helmets to protect their heads; meanwhile, the players are downsizing everything else to increase their speed.

I don't know, like I said, I don't get it. But maybe it is time for the NFL to start increasing the minimum equipment requirements?  Players and teams aren't going to do it on their own, because they don't want to lose speed.

Interesting stat. Even with House out and Randall benched, Rollins had only 1 defensive snap v CHI.

King, Jones, Hawkins, Brice, and Evans... people will say Randall and Rollins are busts, but so what. Doesn't matter how they build it, just make it strong.

I don't think Randall is lacking footspeed or athleticism at all.  He pre-draft numbers were pretty good - 4.4-40, very good 3 conr drill times and decent 20 yard shuttle numbers.

Randall's issue was (and still continues to be) he didn't have good technique in terms of coverage skills because he wasn't a natural CB in college.   He's struggled to make the transition.

In recent history the only guy I can think of that made a decent transition from safety in college to CB for the Packers was Mike McKenzie.  MM was a bigger dude and a much better tackler.    Antuan Edwards flamed out as a corner after playing safety at Clemson.

Ironically, they have had some success going the other way.  Nick Collins played CB in college and was moved to safety and excelled.   Leroy Butler did the same before Collins.

Dallas is my 2nd most hated team in the league.  Let's mop up their field with their jerseys and give them to Jerry Jones as a reminder of what an ass he is. It must be an easy job being the Cowboys GM. No matter what you do,  Jerry will always take center stage and do things the Jerry way.

Good news; he's played very well against them in the past.

incredible!  especially since I thought I had witnessed another Finley situation last Thursday.  I had the same sick feeling in my gut.  so glad that wasn't the case.

Glad he's doing well. Should hold him out. Long season. Last thing GB needs is Adams suffering another concussion bouncing his head off that ****ty Dallas field.

Don't need another Sam Shields concussion situation.

After being concussed against the Cowboy last October, he returned to play a Thursday night game against the Bears with only three days’ rest. In what might have been the pivotal game of his career, Adams had 13 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns. His receptions were second only to Don Hutson (14 in 1942) in a single game in franchise history.

If medically cleared, let him play. Monty also wants to go but hard to see that with numerous broken ribs.

Considering the MASH unit at T, and an uneven running game at best, this is fairly impressive through Quarter 1:

Despite ranking in the bottom half of the NFL in yards per play -- they’re 17th at 5.16 -- the Packers haven’t lacked for point production. They’re fourth in offensive points scored per game (25.5) and No. 1 in red zone efficiency, scoring touchdowns on 78.6 percent of their trips inside the opponent's’ 20-yard line. And they’ve been able to put together long drives because they’ve converted 49.1 percent of their third downs, which ranks third in the NFL.

Speaking of His Hair:

Injuries have been an issue in Green Bay, but the pass rush has churned no matter who has been in it. The Packers have generated pressure at the fourth-highest rate this season -- on 31 percent of dropbacks -- even with injuries to Mike Daniels, Ahmad Brooks and Nick Perry.

Nitro has improved our pass D which was 31st? last year.  It has possibly cost us in stopping the run however 76 has also been on the sideline.  Once the front 7 is all back and healthy the run D should also improve.  Really excited to see the DL with 76.  MDL>DL.

heard Kenny Clark on the radio this morning giving praise to Dial for all he's doing on the DL confirming my thoughts that he was doing well.  he said Dial can play any position they need on the line.  good to have that.

by the way, Happy 22nd Birthday today Kenny!   and thanks Ted!!!!
