It will likely be critical for the Packers offense to start off like games against San Francisco and Miami, in order to get this first win in Seattle in 16 years. In those two games, the Packers led 17-0 and 21-3 in the first half. The Packers trailed at the half by double digits in three of their four losses.

Green Bay is 6-0 when leading at halftime this season, 3-4 when trailing. The wins came in games against the Rams, Texans and Bears.

Teams have to do it to match points. Now we just need to get some of the defenders back from injury.

....or, hear me out now, it's because when 23 is out they don't have a NFL starting caliber CB on the roster and the LB's weakness is coverage.    The big plays don't come because the strength of the D is safety and teams learned early not to try to get over X.

Possible?

Orrrr.......now hear me out.....he isn't going 100% in practice. (GASP! 🫢)

...and then.....doing stupid shit in the red zone

Musgrave looked really, really slow in that clip.  Guessing the ankle is still bothering him.

My guess is he is just starting to test it out and see what, if any, limitations he has. As the days go on I'm sure he'll ramp it up if he can.

A healthy Musgrave could add a lot to the offense.

As well as he’s played, Tucker Kraft is more of a safety-valve/mid-range route runner. MLF used Musgrave last year to attack the seams and open up room in the middle of field for players like Doubs and Wicks. Will be interesting to see how if at all the offense evolves should Musgrave get a lot of snaps.

@TomSilverstein:   #Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that CB Jaire Alexander and WR Romeo Doubs were both full participants in practice. Doubs is still technically in the concussion protocol.

Other reports have S Evan Williams also remaining in the concussion protocol.

The Packers may be 10th in that DVOA crap, but they are 22nd in passing yards allowed. Regardless of the reasons why, the fact of the matter is the pass defense sucks.
When they can't generate a pass rush, and have sketchy DBs in coverage, poor results can be expected.

last year they remained relatively healthy and buffed the clearcoat to a fairly lustrous shine

then the sophomore year together, dinged up and searching for the groove

seems to happen a lot in all sports, that sophomore shituation

but we have Michael Jordan now so NBA championship here we come!

They cannot cover the middle for shit. I just don't understand how that cannot be a priority for Hafley.

If the packers win and the rams lose tonight does that lock up a wild card spot?

the pack would be 10- 4

rams 7-7

with 3 games left

Seahawks would win the division, if they end up winning the 3 games after the packers (11-6) so they would be a wildcard non-factor.

best rams could do (or 49ers) would be 10-7

same as the pack… but we beat the 9ers and the rams…

am I missing something?

So here it is. The Packers can clinch a playoff spot if ALL of the following occur:

  • A win at Seattle
  • 49ers-Rams tie (on Thursday Night Football)
  • Falcons loss or tie (at Raiders, on Monday Night Football)

Thursday practice:

@RobDemovsky:  Another day of practice for Jaire Alexander (knee), Evan Williams (concussion), Romeo Doubs (concussion), Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring), Corey Ballentine (knee), Luke Musgrave (ankle).

Only Javon Bullard (ankle) was not practicing.

If Edge Coop plays, barring any excessive dick-stepping, the Packers will win!

I'm liking our chances a WHOLE lot more with Coop, Jaire, Williams and Doubs.

And I still liked our chances without them.

Packers CB Jaire Alexander was not participating during practice on Friday, the final on-field work before Matt LaFleur’s team goes to Seattle to play the Seahawks on Sunday night in Week 15.…

Doobie still in concussion protocol going on two weeks...not sure he's playing. Jah and EW should be good to go.

Would be a hell of a concussion to miss almost 2 1/2 weeks. But sounds like he's going. He's the lowest need among the wounded but good to have another bullet in the chamber.

MLF said that Alexander didn't hit certain benchmarks to be able to effectively play. I think they put GPS on them and they have to hit a certain speed, at least that is what Musgrave said in an interview. He said he had to hit 20 MPH, and did. I'm sure there is more change of direction measurements they also are tested in.
