Looks like Jones & Musgrave are out for sure ....Wicks still in concussion protocol, and Reed was limited today with a chest injury. Campbell looks doubtful on defense, and who knows about Alexander .... not ideal prospects for Thursday.

What about this? There is no replacement!

The Packers are also without tight end/fullback Josiah Deguara, who has a hip injury. The team does not have an additional tight end on the practice squad,

Whoa.

@TomSilverstein:  LaFleur said that TE Luke Musgrave suffered a pretty serious abdominal injury and didn't complain about it until Monday. He said Musgrave is in the hospital right now.

LaFleur said that they have the injury diagnosed and is under control. He said Musgrave is actually out of the hospital now. He won't play Thursday and he did not rule out injured reserve but they're waiting to see how things go.

Apparently a lacerated kidney. Ouch!

Gotta admit. Thought Kraft was nowhere near as fluid as Musgrave early on, but last week Kraft showed some real athleticism on that touchdown not touchdown.

He made comments after the game about that play. He said that is what he did in college and that he is not a blocking TE. I took that not to mean he was an unwilling blocker but a player whose real value is with the ball in his hands.

Might we see MLF take a few more chances and throw in some trick plays, etc.?

I have not been able to watch every game this season  (youtube and FUNFL can kiss my ass) but one thing i've noticed from the first couple of games i watched compared to the last two that i've seen, (steelers and chargers) is the advancement of the offense and the inclusion of more presnap motion.   Young guys seem to be understanding more and making it possible to include more misdirection and trick plays.  With all the injuries though, could be back to square one.

Steno said in his presser yesterday that with so many young guys, they had to spend a lot of time re teaching basic concepts of the offense, but now are able to move forward with more complicated concepts, which allow them to do more on offense. I posted a video last week of Jace Sternberger talking about how complicated MLF's offense is.

Kraft should get a lot of looks tomorrow but with so many pass catchers injured, DET could just throw more attention toward him if they see he could be an X factor.

Situations like this is where the OL really shows itself as a liability or asset.  If they get push in the run game or they're able to give 10 enough time to throw, the offense can still be productive.  If not, it's going to be ugly.

Oh, my. Could get even uglier than we anticipated a few hours ago. Looks like Kraft and Sims (Deguara also on injury report with a hip), the re-born Taylor (Dillon also on report with a groin), and the rest of the backups are getting a heavy dose of playing time this week. GB has 17 on the injury report; Detroit has 4. Yikes.

That's what happens when guys say fuck it to the season and decide to take it easy chilling in the tub.

Kraft should get looks, and we might see Sims. Wasn't he supposed to be a blocking TE? He's a rookie, but he's looked okay in the few chances he's had. Musgrave added to IR means his season is probably done.
