As much as I would love to have the Pack put an ass-whooping on the Pat's....I do want everyone healthy for the upcoming Atlanta game.   That NFC game and the December stretch is more important leading up to the playoffs.    That being said, it's time we proved to the pundits that this is a Super Bowl team and crush the Cheatriots.

Yeah, just some raw speed to create hurricane force winds on Rebus Island.

Boykin hasn't stepped up and Adams tweaked his back and regressed a little against the Vikes.  This may not be too far-fetched.

According to the Press Gazette, Adams was held out of practice today for unknown reasons.

@TomSilverstein: WR Davante Adams has a heel injury and was limited.

@jasonjwilde: McCarthy on Adams: "They're just kind of working through exactly how they're going to handle it. I don't have high concern."

Truth! Just like Seattle

Oooohhhhhh Jeff Janis?!?! My daily games will love that

Janis isn't on the PS and hasn't been all season. If he were, a team would have plucked him away from the Packers. He's been one of the weeky inactives though. Think he was only active once or twice this season

Cap, I did not say Janis was on the practice squad. My intent was to state that I believe a WR from the PS was active for a game or so while Janis was inactive.  I am a big fan of Janis- I want to see him play.

From MM Friday presser:

Green Bay --- Running highlights from coach Mike McCarthy's Friday news conference...

Packers injuries

  • OLB Nick Perry (shoulder) questionable
  • WR Davante Adams (heel) probable
  • CB Jarrett Bush (groin) questionable
  • RG T.J. Lang (ankle) probable
  • LG Josh Sitton (toe) probable
  • TE Brandon Bostick (hip) probable

On Nick Perry... Making progress. See what he's able to do in the rehab. Get more information tomorrow.

On where he is... Every year is different. Every player goes through injuries, every injury different. Have to treat it that way. He's pushing to get on the field --- wants to play. He's had some tough luck. This has been his year, if we can get through this one here we'll see where it goes.

On Rodgers in a chess match... Definitely an advantage. Aaron's great at it. Every game a different challenge --- they'll pose challenges to us we haven't yet.

On Bush's longevity... Takes great care of himself. He's always working. He's an old-school professional. Tough as nails, year 'round, he puts in the time. He has a tremendous work ethic.

On offensive-minded coach vs defensive-minded coach... Bill Belichick involved in all three phases. Their history and how they perform reflects, not just calling plays vs. him. He's very much involved in all three phases.

@JeffAshPG: Sunday's #Packers #Patriots weather forecast: Cloudy, dry, temps in low 30s falling into 20s, NW winds 7-14 mph, gusting to 21 mph. #nflwx

A bit brisker than earlier forecasts. One of these days Tom Terrific will start playing worse in cold.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the first time in more than a month, the New England Patriots aren't ruling any players out on their Friday injury report.

This reflects the progress made by defensive end Chandler Jones, who has been out since injuring his hip Oct. 16 against the Jets.

Jones isn't expected to play Sunday in Green Bay, as he has just returned to practice this week and has been limited.

GB will use different players on Gronkowski. Capers says ILB Brad Jones likely on him at times. “Let’s face it, he’s a match-up problem."

Exciting news for any Gronk owners in fantasy football

Awesome.  Instead of that, just leave Gronk uncovered completely and send an extra guy after Brady.

No one in football can or has stopped Gronk when he's healthy, but Jones is the opposite of Rodgers in that he actually makes the players around him worse.

I wonder if thats why Brad Jones saw more playing time against the Vikings, beside the fact that Perry was inactive? Maybe a bit of a primer for a potential expanded role against the Patriots and dealing with Gronk.

I agree, nothing good is going to come from him being on the field. Gronk's gonna get his catches. I think the key is getting his ass on the ground and limiting the YAC to a minimum. I don't think 59 is up to that task. Probably have to lean on 52 again for that.

Whoever starts in the middle next year is going to be incredibly appreciative of the bar set by Hawk and Jones. I'm not even sure you can say "setting the bar" if it's laying on the ground.
