I'm guessing they are that bad but we will get their best shot Sunday night.   The key to stopping the midget is to get pressure up the middle so he can't see his passing lanes.

Would be nice to have Shields back because speed is going to be more important than House's size in this matchup.

They're similar to the Panthers but with better receivers and less suck at the main positions. In other words, their defense is really struggling as is their O-line. Graham played a bit yesterday and if his shoulder is mostly healed he's much more dangerous than a good Greg Olsen. Colston is an older, more saavy Benjamin, and Stills, Cooks, etc. are better than the other Panthers receivers.

Biggest worry is that they are extremely desperate for a win. Teams with backs against the wall are ones you never want to face.

But GB is a zone and that defense is getting more and more confident. MM's guys at this point likely believe they can beat anyone. And AR doesn't have Favre's Domeaphobia.

almost a yearly occurrence for the Packers...

mid-way through the season they always have to go on the road to play a struggling, perennial playoff team.

MM on Barrington's start: He's been doing a lot of good things. We want to get him the ball as we talk about a lot in here.

MM on October success: It's something when you reflect back on season and design of our roster. There is development b/c young players

MM: Richard Rodgers probably had his best game of the season

MM: "I would like to think our teams know we're getting ready to go into a hot-box in New Orleans."

I think this game has the potential to look like a videogame. I wouldn't be surprised to see the point total go over 75. The key to Brees is that he will throw some balls up for grabs if you can get pressure to him. He's already thrown 7 and his pick in the 4th quarter against the Lions was an unnecessary panic throw.

My guess is that if Jimmy Graham is healthy, he'll go for about 12 catches and 150 yards and 2 TDs.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton would not comment Monday on any injuries that were suffered during Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions.

But there appeared to plenty. Cornerback Keenan Lewis left the game late in the fourth quarter what appeared to be a hamstring injury. Center Jonathan Goodwin (leg) and running back Pierre Thomas, nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley and defensive lineman Glenn Foster (knee) all left the game with injuries. Foster was placed on injured reserve Monday afternoon. Receiver Kenny Stills, offensive tackle Zach Strief and cornerback Corey White all missed time due to injuries on Sunday as well.

The fans will be at full throat and GB will have to handle the initial surge of adrenaline from the wounded-mosquito home team. ( Is there anything more dangerous ?)

Saints open at -1.5

Gonna be a great game Sunday night.  Covering the TE concerns me a bit.  I'd imagine GB will have to put a S on him the whole game.  Not many LBers can cover JG and GB certainly doesn't have one.

As for the Crabtree/Davis move, it's hard to speculate on why the Saints wanted Crabtree back. He was presumably signed as insurance two weeks ago after starter Jimmy Graham suffered a shoulder injury, but he was released when it became clear that Graham could play (30 snaps in a limited role Sunday). So maybe he's still Graham insurance, or maybe the Saints liked enough of what they saw to potentially use him as an extra tight end and special teamer.

Those watching Graham, most believe he was little more then a decoy. Did next to nothing on Sunday and couldn't raise that arm well at all. Wonder if Crab signing is more of an indicator Jimmy ain't right yet.

Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson combined for 10 catches, 201 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. There isn't a more productive one-two receiving punch in football. Together, Cobb and Nelson have 1,164 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. The 2014 season is SEVEN weeks old.

I seriously wouldn't mind seeing Peppers at ILB matching up on Jimmy Graham on passing downs.

I'm not sure if Peppers has the change-of-direction to hang with Jimmy except in a very short area. Coughlin used JPP to harrass Finley and keep him from getting a free release

Last time around, GB pulled their slow ILBs off the field because Brees just painted a target on their backs. Unfortunately, McMillian and Jennings didn't fare much better.

Maybe Sean Richardson can offer something at ILB this weekend

I'm really hoping Richardson gets a chance to play in the dime.   He really played well in his snaps against CAR, he deserves it.  If you are going to go with 4 OLB's in obvious pass rush situations you might as well fully commit and remove Hawk as well.   Even if Hawk was decent in coverage for an ILB, it just makes sense.

Hawk is listed at 235 and Richardson at 215.  Is that 20 pounds really going to make a difference in the event of a draw?  I know the quickness difference is significant and will help covering RB.

as long as Peppers gave him the just-try-and-get-off-the-line-of-scrimmage treatment successfully, ok.

Pierre Thomas looks like he's out for the next three weeks. Cadet probably gets time on passing downs. He's the only pass catching threat out of the backfield for the Saints.

Interesting stat. Brees has only been sacked 5 times this year. But he's thrown 7 picks. Tells me he'll put it up before he allows himself to be hit. Pressure will be huge this week.

Really hoped they pulled out taht win the other day. Now they are at 2-4 and badly need a win and will be pissed after that chockjob in Detroit. Their division is very weak so even with a loss they'd probably still be in it, but you know they're treating this as a must win game to get back on track and that damn team is always on another level when they are playing in their dome

Graham's status will be the key. Hopefully he's still gonna be in a limited role like he was last week @ DET. Pack need to finish things out strong heading into their bye week but this will be a tough game.

Rodgers was a blocking machine on Sunday. He did a great job sealing the edge on several plays.

While the only time I've seen him run a pattern or catch the ball he has looked like he's wearing cement shoes Bubba Franks, he really skyed for that high throw in the EZ.  Maybe he has that much coveted "elusive speed".
