Don’t overlook this team. They had 8 sacks against Washington yesterday and nearly pulled out a win. They’re playing hard for interim HC and special teams savant Darren Rizzi.

Meanwhile, Packer-killer Alvin Kamara was injured yesterday.

@kat_terrell:   Darren Rizzi said Alvin Kamara's injury is a groin adductor type of situation. He said it felt minor and he felt it on the touchdown, but he's going to continue to go through tests. But then when asked if it was minor, Rizzi said he wasn't going to make a medical declaration.

I have no clue what a groin adductor injury is but I hope I don't experience it.

I haven't watched one second of the Saints until yesterday.  They sure played like a team that has a lot to play for and aren't mailing it in.  I hope MLF and the coaching staff lets the know every week that the playoffs for the Packers may have already started and they cannot take their foot off the gas.

Arriving Saturday at GB for my 2nd ever game at Lambeau Monday night.  My daughter is coming who attended our first game 12 years ago. Two of my brothers joining us who’ve never been to Green Bay.  We have Sunday tickets to Lambeau tour.  Staying on the east side of GB. Any food, brew, or other suggestions welcomed.

Packers opened at -5 and now up to -13.5

That is a YOOOOOGE amount of money going on the Packers winning. Probably has a lot to do with the fact the Saints backup QB options are horrid.

I fully expect the Packers to win, but 13.5 is a massive amount of points in an NFL matchup. If I were a betting man, I think I'd pick the Saints here.

Totally agree and I just might put a bet down the Packers don't cover that spread. That is a very large spread for the NFL especially for a Saints team that is playing very hard.

The Saints are 5 and 9, playing with a backups backup QB, on the road against a better, healthy team in cold, cold conditions.

Unless there are unknown, in game injuries to the Pack there is no reason a team trying to stay hot, with seeding still to be determined should not cover.

In short, the Packers are the way better team, the Saints may be playing hard but they, in truth have nothing as a franchise to play for.

Take the Pack, give the points.

Ps…it’s not my money🤔

There had been speculation earlier on the inter webs that Derek Carr might try to play despite a broken hand. No more. Saints will probably go with Spencer Rattler.

@RapSheet: Sources: #Saints  QB Derek Carr underwent further examination recently and he’s at least a few weeks away from being able to withstand contact. With 3 weeks remaining, a return this season is described as very unlikely.

Carr has been out with a left hand fractured in two places.

@RobDemovsky:  Matt LaFleur said LB Quay Walker will need the week to “see where he’s at but I’d say it’s more of a week-to-week deal.”

Also said S Javon Bullard is moving around better. Next practice is Thursday (b/c of MNF) so we won’t know til then if he can practice.

Per Wilde, in MLF coach speak, that means Walker is out for this week. If he had a chance to play, then he uses the phrase "day-to-day".

There is really no need to push Walker, Jaire, or Bullard to play this week.

And it will be quite interesting if the Packers get locked into a playoff seed where they cannot move up or down. Because then the conversation starts whether you sit guys like Jacobs and even Love to keep them fresh and healthy for the playoffs vs keeping them in game mode and sharp for them.

Packers are going to get a bye week vs. Minnesota AND Chicago if they want it.

Unless Minnesota decides to lose to the Packers & Bears. 😆

Andy Hermans thoughts....

Long range weather forecast calls for a temp of around 29 or 30 degrees at kick off. And, a "slight" possibility of some snow at around 24%. Not horrible weather but still I don't think the Saints will like it much.

Might be farther away than you like, but Stone Arch Pub in Appleton was great when we were there for Texans game.
