Ok, the Lions have sucked the suck for so long, but Lions fans are now puffing their chests convinced they are now legit.

So much so..

A Dumbass Detroit Lions Fan Has Gotten The First 2024 Super Bowl Champion Tattoo

From Barstool Sports:

Listen I know that everyone and their sister is on television right now predicting that the Lions are going to win the NFC North, but this is egregious. And to be honest, I'm kinda over people sucking off the Lions. Yes, everyone loves Dan Campbell. Yes, they won 5 of their last 6 last year, including beating Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau to keep them out of the playoffs. Yes, they have the best roster in the division. But let's be real, this infatuation with Detroit is more from the rest of the NFC North sucking than the Lions being great. So I don't get why the level of hype around this team hasn't been seen since The Dream Team Philadelphia Eagles was assembled back in 2011. And they went 8-8.

Also, I am looking more and more Wrongo! on wanting Jameson Williams when he was drafted. This dude's career is beginning to look rather messy:

Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes did a bit of PR control this week in his recent comments on Jameson Williams.

Williams, who is suspended for the first six games of the 2023 season, has attracted all kinds of negative press this summer from his sour training camp attitude to his sub-par ball skills. He even reportedly threw a punch at his teammate during one practice, and he also picked up a leg injury that saw him miss some time in camp.

The Loins have been irrelevant for so long, it's hard to work up a good hatred for them. The Bears are our natural enemy, and while you can hate them, you respect them for the rivalry. Minnesota is like the little, loud, obnoxious neighborhood punk who you love to rub his face in the snow.

Now, if the Loins turn out to be really good for a decade or so and GB has to chase them, I may revise my opinion.

There were the Loins teams of the 1950's and '60's that were a rival hated almost on par with the Bores.
There were the Loins teams in the 1990's that we played in the wild card round of the playoffs every year. That was an intense rivalry, but not as much hatred.
Now we have the 2020's version of the Loins. Not only intense, but some of that hatred is coming back. And we owe those sonsofbitches a smackdown!

In any case, they have always been a PITA, even when they didn't have good teams. A typical game means forget the records/standings, or who has a better team/coaches, and get ready for a grind-'em-out, smash-mouth game.
