Jabari has fallen out of the rotation in Chicago and they look to be trying to unload him.

He may be done as a NBA player at 23. For all his refusal to even try to play defense, he seems like too good a kid with too much offensive talent (he's the same age as kids that would have graduated from college in May) to end up like this.

I don’t know if Jabari understands defense. He has never demonstrated the IQ in the game of basketball that would indicate he has any ability to understand the game that way. He is a lot like Derek Rose- you just don’t know what’s going on up there. Everything he does on the basketball court is physical- his game is all feel. That works right up until you’re in the NBA.

Guys like Lebron, Durant, Curry, Leonard... their game is as much cerebral as it it physical. Either you have the BIQ or you don’t- and unfortunately Jabari doesn’t. And he exacerbates it- just like Rose did in Chicago,m- by pressing for what he feels entitled to. Maybe it’s a Chicago thing...

Refusal to play defense? Maybe, he just can't play defense.

I don't think he is capable of playing even average defense, but it's the lack of even making a minimal effort that can be comical at times.

Look at some of the "defense" in the videos embedded in this link.
