Jason Wilde on Donald Driver post game interview (paraphrased); "I know it's a business and Packers may be on youth movement but I'm not ready to hang up the cleats so I may have to go somewhere else. I need to talk to my wife and decide."

JW said Driver has 2 mil + salary and 2 mil signing bonus at 37 yrs old.

I would welcome him back at salary reduction, lots of decision$ in Green Bay this offseason.

If he's really slowed to the point linebackers are covering him, and with how keen the Packers were to keep those two receivers on the practice squad, which is to say nothing of the draft, I fear the end is at hand for DD and the GBP.
I don't think it is a money issue. I think the Packers are willing to move on from him because they think they have better, younger players on the practice squad who can be the 5th receiver (Gurley,Borel) That is why they paid extra money to them to stay on the practice squad and not sign with other teams this season.

I think Cobb pushes to be the #3 receiver behind Jennings/Nelson, Jones is #4. The 5th receiver slot is best used on an up and coming guy like Gurley and Borel, not a vet at the end of his career.

"Driver is under contract for the 2012 season, with a $2.2 million roster bonus due in March, a $200,000 workout bonus and a $2.6 million base salary. As a vested veteran, he would be guaranteed the full salary if he is on the roster on opening day."
Driver had a slow start to the season, but he played really well the last 1/3 of the season. Unfortunately for him, he lost a step this year. At best, some other team may try Driver as a #2, but I don't think he has the ability any more to be a #1.

If the Giants game truly was Driver's last game for the Packers, I am glad he at least went out with style. He was the only receiver to not drop or fumble, other than perhaps James Jones.
If DD doesn't want to hang 'em up, he'll be a Bear or Viking the day after the Packers release him.

2011 was the last year for DD. He was the one guy who played pretty well yesterday. I thought the O-Line did ok too.
Driver is a 3/4 even for a team with weak wide receivers.

If Driver wants to keep playing, I don't hold it against him one bit. As fans we like to see guys like him hang 'em up on a high note, but I understand he still feels competitive.

Good luck to Donald in whatever he choses to do.
