Bucks decide to sit Middleton along with Holiday, Lopez, DDV, and Ojeleye.
I guess Giannis had to play to have enough guys to suit up?
Jazz start 5 for 5 from three.

Thanasis, Portis, Robinson, Hood, and Nwora.
Let's just say that's not a real strong offensive unit.

And now Mamu for Portis. Why even bother playing Giannis at all in this game?
Bucks scoreless with Giannis sitting right now.
Nwora is an absolute trainwreck tonight.
This is tough to watch in personβ¦

I feel sorry for anyone that paid money to watch this. And now Hood, who is a legit NBA rotation player when healthy, is also out.
10-2 run, partially when they sit Giannis.
I'm not sure why they bothered to play Giannis tonight at all.
What these games have shown is that Nwora is not going to be ready for primetime this year, or maybe ever. But he might be the one guy you could package for a veteran guy who can help you in the playoffs - you know, like PJ Tucker.
Ojeleye is not a rotation player. There's a reason a team like the Celtics didn't want him.
And, obviously, Thanasis, should not be playing more than the end-of-quarter defensive possessions.
Rodney Hood has value.
Get Giannis out.
Jazz with 23 FTs. Bucks with 5.
Giannis shot 2 FTs tonight.
So you get within 4 and...
you leave Giannis on the bench?
To allow Mitchell to drive to the rim to get it to 6 with no rim protection in at all?
If you were going to play Giannis at all tonight, play him now.
So, when do we get an actual update on Lopez and Holiday?
The Bucks are in danger of getting in a pretty big hole in terms of playoff seeding here. Now 3-4 and a long road trip coming up.

Not sure I agree with this. Nwora isnβt ready to be a feature scorer, sure- but as a guy coming off the bench on a good team? Yes, he can definitely do that.
The Bucks offense isnβt evolving from the βone on everyone then kick it out for 3β offense. There is precious little movement, precious little cuttingβ¦ and it isnβt fun to watch them fail epically to make open shots. But when youβre without 2, 3, and 4 in the offensive pecking order, thereβs not much youβre going to do against one of the top WC teams. That theyβre even remotely competitive is actually pretty solid. It was a G league lineup tonight whenever Giannis was off the floor.
As good as Giannis is, it will be tough for them to beat a decent team like Utah without 3 of their 4 best players.

And without 6 of their 10 potential playoff rotation guys (and with a 7th, Portis, on a minutes restriction).
Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, Lopez, DDV, Allen, Portis, Hill, Hood, Ojeleye
It's surprising they were in the game at all. Donavan Mitchell, an all-NBA level guard was being guarded by Justin Robinson for portions of the 4th quarter. Although give Robinson some credit, he has shown he belongs in the NBA somewhere the last few games. Just not as the first guard off the bench.
