With how MM treats players who have as much as a shaving nick and coupled with a 4 day week wouldn't surprise me to see him sit. After the Bear game Packers have a long day stretch off.

GB had to put out an injury report today despite not practicing and "guess" what player participation would have been.

From Packers twitter:

McCarthy: Greg Jennings had groin injury, felt better about it today, see how it is tomorrow for practice & update on status.

Is this a serious post? Do you honestly think Jennings would ever be benched for Boykin?
Jennings isn't a superstar, but he's also not easily replaceable. Especially not with Boykin.

While he's their best WR, I don't think he's worthy of being paid like a top 5 guy. If that's how he wants to be paid, then let him walk and rip off some other team.

But I don't see him being that kinda guy. I think he remains a Packers long term.

Crack is whack.

True, but he's not even close to GJ in ability at this time.

Maybe... available and accountable. If healthy, GJ is very accountable. I expect Thompson will offer a healthy and fair contract, but it will be Jennings' (and agent) decision for him to stay in GB.

Jennings is looking for a big payday after the season, not Megatron big but the next level down. My question is he being realistic or will he be disappointed by the officers he gets? Jennings is neither super tall, fast, nor is he a major football name. What he does do is run great routs and knows the Packer system inside and out. I have heard local reporter compare Jennings numbers to other receiver who received big contract last off season. I do not think that is how GM’s think, instead they try to figure out what the player will do for their team in the future. They may discount his productivity because they may think his number have a lot to do with his role with the Packers and his productivity will not carry over to a different team.
I think Jennings is one of those players that are of the greatest valuable to their current team. It will be interesting to see what happens in the offseason or if Jennings changes his mind and plays it safe and signs a contract extension this season.
I don't really see Jennings being benched. I do, however, see him as a near-30-year-old receiver who has had 3 concussions by the Packers' count and has started looking a bit fragile; coupled with a recent trend towards not showing up in big games (KC, Giants, 49ers).

As much as I respect and like the guy, I don't see TT offering anywhere near Top 5 money to him given the above circumstances - especially since we have a young, deep receiver corps already and Borel is there on the PS waiting for next year. Plus, every year, TT finds at least one very talented young receiver in the draft.

I hope Jennings gets and stays well and snaps out of the funk he's in against top flight defenses, and I hope he's around after this year; but I'm inclined to think that is not going to be the case.
Jennings is a very, very good receiver. The fact remains though that he is coming up on 30 years old, which is generally considered the point in your career where you start to slide a little bit. When you have players like Jordy, Cobb and Jones on the roster already, coupled with having to resign core players such as Rodgers, Matthews and Raji, you can see where TT might just let him walk. It makes sense.

I'd like to keep him though, no question.

With RB's, yes. Not so much with WR's. WR's can play & play well into their 30's

Jennings will have 5 more good years & play until he is 35
Jennings sat out of practice today. Arguably, this Bears game is a big game. Falling to 0-2 with both losses coming to conference opponents ALMOST guarantees that the best this team could hope for is a wild card berth. That's not a lock, but it sure wouldn't be a good thing to be in the division basement looking up. We need Jennings (a healthy Jennings) for this game. It is a disturbing and developing trend that his body seems to be getting rather brittle in a hurry.

By the way, any time you are undefeated and going for a perfect regular season record, it IS a big game.

Couldn't disagree more. GB may very well start off at 0-2... but they'll still win the division.
