Per ESPN:

Spin: Nelson is not a No. 1 wide receiver. Let's be clear about that. When Greg Jennings is out, he often knocks out the fantasy value of both himself and Nelson in the process. However, Nelson will still play a full complement of snaps and it only takes one connection for a huge fantasy game. Keep your fingers crossed.

Orly?

Funny how Jordy has a big game when we have some offensive balance, and Aaron has time to throw.

To me any guy who could go on an NFL team and immediately become their number 1 is a number one. There's 32 #1's and I can think of a few of them off the top of my head that would become #2's the second Jordy walked through the door. Cleveland, Oakland, Jets, Kansas City, and Washington without really putting any thought into it. He might not be an elite, top 5 guy but he's without a shadow of a doubt a #1 WR. The only reason he's not considered as such is because Greg Jennings is a top 10 #1 receiver.
I don't know, hntr74. Greg's being out could benefit us in the long run. If he's not getting the big payday, he likely stays with the Packers, doesn't he?

A pulled groin, while nagging, is not a serious injury that raises concerns. He came back and tried to play probably before he should have, and had a setback. I think he will still be a good receiver for some time to come, and the Packers will find a way to retain his services.

Besides, he's making that phat commercial money now.
I look at it like number one pitchers in MLB. There are special guys like Verlander, King Feliz, etc. and guys like Gallardo who are number ones of their team but not in that "elite" status. Jennings, IMO, is more of a Gallardo and Mega and LFitz are Verlander and King Felix.

Just my opinion and not a slam to Jennings. And yes, I will take an analyst gig if anyone has one. PM me for my agents number.

Of course he's a #1 when he's healthy.

He's not the top #1, but he's near the top. If you're one of the top 32 receivers in the NFL, essentially you're a number 1 or potential #1. Jennings credentials in 2010 and 2011 put him solidly in the top 10 and maybe even top 5 of number 1 wideouts. That said, in 2012 he is starting to show wear and tear and might be in decline.

Duuuuuude!!

Perhaps you're getting "elite" mixed up with "#1 receivers"

Jordy and Jennings are great #1 receivers; however, I can understand if someone would not call them elite as I would.

The Pack has a rich history of WRs and when Jordy was at his peak he was in the mix to be considered one of the top 5 or 6 Packers’ WRs of all time.

As a cautionary tale to the 3 rookie WRs coming in this year, it really wasn’t until midway through Jordy’s 3rd year that he really started to look like a really good player.  One reason Jordy was a bit of a late bloomer is he was converted from a DB in college and was still learning when the Pack got him.
