We want Green Bay to get off to a fast start and get a lead. But at no time, should MM get conservative against the Eagles. Keep the gas pedal down for 60 minutes. Keeping the ball for long drives for this team means passing the ball. Keep mixing things up MM. The defense can constinue to pin their ears back against Vick.

Also, Reid is not afraid of a gadget play here or there. I am ready to watch this team advance to Atlanta!

GO PACK!

The Packers will go as far as McCarthy will let them. MM has demonstrated he is a good HC. Perhaps even a great HC at times this year despite the enormous amount of injuries they have had to contend with. Unfortunately, he also displayed the propensity to under-coach and get out-coached in games the Packers should have won easily.

That being said, maybe the win over the Bears got the monkey off the backs. Because in spite of some typical bad playcalling and the tell-tale "tightness" of the offense, MM and the Packers prevailed.

Maybe, just maybe, that win and the momentum it carries will push them through and further into the playoffs.
McCarthy was interviewed this week and he basically said "they are who they are" and they are going to play to their strength- i.e. Rodgers and the passing game.

I tend to agree with him on this. Starks has ability and Kuhn has been effective as their short yardage back, but they aren't all of a sudden going to reinvent the running game IMO. That will need to happen this offseason when they assess the RB and OL groups.

The only thing that needs to happen today is the OL has to step up and give #12 time to throw. It's also critical that the TEs and RBs pick up the blitzes because you know they will be coming. Much like GB throwing the ball on offense, Philly's trademark on D has been blitzing even though they are banged up.

To me, the most interesting thing about today is whether or not Philly will decide to run the ball with McCoy and not feature Vick. The teams that have beaten GB this year have played more ball control - including running the ball- but if Philly wants to prove something with Vick that could be their undoing.

Yep. My biggest fear is that maybe, just maybe guys like Driver, Jones, and Nelson just aren't enough to complement Jennings for a Super Bowl run. In the past, Driver certainly was a very good WR, but this year the injuries have slowed him down. I really think at least 1 guy out of the group of Driver, Jones, Nelson is going to have to really come up big for the Pack to make it through this game and beyond. I don't think you can count on guys like Quarless, Crabtree, and Jackson to do a whole lot just yet (though Quarless does have some potential for the future).

Those #2-#4 wide receivers are the key to the post-season. Get some separation, catch the darn ball when it's thrown to you, and hang on to it once you get it. Do those things, and the Pack has a chance to beat anybody. About 2/3 of the time those guys (Driver, Nelson, Jones) have come through, and hopefully today will fall under that 2/3 category.
