He has to be. He can't even make indoor chipshots. He had one of the worst kicks I have ever seen at the end vs Indy and it just keeps getting worse. Longwell is out there. Sure he doesn't have 50+ range but inside 45 he is absolute money.
You should have created a poll. I'd be curious to see if anybody votes for keeping him.
I think you have to at least bring some guys in, at least.
MM gonna take a lot of heat if he keeps him and he ends up costing even more at the end of the season.

I'd vote to keep him.
He has the skills, its the mind that is apparently messed up. The other kickers are out of work for a reason.

Not much different then when a MLB closer loses it mentally as well. At least he made the last one. But it seems when they lose it, they lose it for a long time. Would not shock me if MM's got a new kicker by next week.

I think they keep him. But that covered the spread, so he has saved himself from a gangland execution and possibly saved his job. If he had completely shanked the final kick he'd be gone.
As far as Crosby, he isn't going anywhere. Contract paid, I don't see them jettisoning the guy. I'm sure we'll get the "stand by your man" routine. It is pretty bad when a legit FG opportunity is passed over because you suck so much.

Just out of curiosity. If the Packers keep him, do you all trust TT's decision? Or do you all think it's a mistake?
A rational approach, you have to see if he can work out of it but at the same time there has to be a backup plan if you want to win in the post season. Pull a Sherman.

I don't know what "pull a Sherman" means, but as I mentioned in the Poll Thread, I think they need to stick through his problems. He's been too good, and if they cut him, I fear he'll be back to being good with another team.
You can't be concerned what he's doing for another team if he stinks playing on yours.
Pull a Sherman, bring in another guy but keep Crosby too. Not ideal but the consequences of not having another available option could be big. Push the competition.

He's actually been 9 for 11 inside 50 in this season. He hasn't been good from 50+, and today's debacle, although his miss today from 50+ isn't a huge deal. The short one was inexcusable.
I don't like it at all but you have to look at the options. The 9 for 11 doesn't hold water. He's been bad at all ranges since he slipped a gear. He's shanked from all ranges during this stretch.
i think they at least call someone in to try out.

Not sure they want to go back to Longwell. Bring in Kaeding for November and December. Then cut him and bring back Crosby for the playoffs. 
I like Crosby... but when you suck, you suck. He has been horrible. Not sure I'd cut him though. I'd love to know what MM said to him after he missed the 38 yarder. Looked heated...
The team needs to have a blanket party and kick his ass.
I'd cut him if there's anyone out there, even bring in Longwell. Even that last extra point was way off and would've missed had he been 5 yards further out.
